I liked hells kitchen so much I completely ruined it for myself :snoop:

I did watch to see who would come back but I can sit down and watch this show anymore.

I think everybody knows it's not real and even though I knew it wasn't 100% real after I fan splurged into all the details I was like :mjcry:

Ill try not to ruin it for anyone else. We can all agree that this show isn't 100% real. I just didn't know how fake it was...the truth is devastating :mjcry:

Me and my girl used to get hyped, we wanted to go eat there. I looked up the who, what, when, where and how about the show and everything was a let down. Like I said, I knew it wasn't 100% real but I wasn't prepared for how fake it is.

Just like the "60 days in" reality show thread where they exposed actors who have been on different shows, fake inmates and shyt....this was just all around bad.

You right. I follow Manda on Facebook and in one of her live videos one night she hinted it was fake.

Well, 60 Days some of it is fake BUT you can't fake a jail scenario. That ish is 100% real. As for Hell's Kitchen, i think the fake comes from
sabotaging meals/equipment, ingredients

Here's what I remember

The "restaurant" is more or less a sound stage or set.

That "entryway" that they frequently show has been used on other reality shows.

As far as eating there, the food is catered. So you can order what you want but it's not cooked by Gordon or the cast.

You can eat there but there is a list and usually if you know someone that is on the production / studio team you can get on easier.

Just like other shows they reshoot scenes for different angles and dramatic effect.

The restaurant isn't real, its a soundstage. Theres a regular cast and crew, gaffers, boom mic operators, wardrobe, lights, makeup......a lot of those jobs pay shytty or are interned in...unless this show is unionized...then the people can make good dough, but still nikkas gotta eat.

I imagine that they do cook some shyt but just like when they cook on good morning america/rachel ray/today show etc....the show the prep, then put the food in the oven, then they have one thats premade that they start to show and eat cause when your cooking a casserole or baking a cake, they dont just keep filming and cut shyt out to when the food is done, or stop filming and wait and resume filming once the shyt is done.

You used to see Emeril cutting one onion to show the audience that he knows how to cut onions then he slides over a bowl with onions that were already cut but you never saw him cut those cause he was talking to the audience the entire time..

Watch now: Steven Raichlen'’s Project Smoke | Episode 313: Project Smoke Road Trip | MPT/Maryland Public Television Video heres a link to another cooking show same sort of concept just different type of cooking, just watch from 2 mins to 3 minutes 30 seconds

How does that ruin the show? HK is basically one intense recorded big job interview so it’s not surprising they created a restaurant with a soundstage and only crew members families and celebs get a reservation. I thought this was common knowledge? Of course I assume that things are going to be stylized for tv. They are opening up a HK restaurant in Vegas, but I’m guessing the only similarities are the items on the menu.

The only way that I would feel it is truly rigged is if the people are actors and the winner is preselected.
