I don’t follow Hellboy but I get the feeling that trailer is made funnier by the music and editing. Not saying it’s not lighter but the jokes seemed more edited to be funny vs a joke meant to make you laugh.

Kind of like how you can make a lot of shows lighter by putting the Friends theme music over it.

Visually it looks weak compared to GDT.

It’s weird that his mouth doesn’t look like it’s saying the words in some scenes like it’s one of those early 90s animatronic mouths.

I noticed this too. Some scenes it looks fine then others it looks like the actor has trouble opening and closing his mouth. Might be an issue with the makeup techniques they used,
