Man my pc can brute force max everything on 99% of shyt and dragons dogma ran like shyt regardless :mjlol:
Your shyt broke or you are lying.

My PC is nowhere near as good as yours and the game doesn’t “run like shyt”

I can get 4k 60+fps everywhere outside of the two big cities.

I'm gettin 60 :blessed:
most times :whoa: Battahl got a nikka eyein the FPS counter like it's the spedometer and I'm driving through a speedtrap at midnight. That said, I have everything maxed and Capcom is notoriously terrible about optimization.

I'd be more upset if my other current game wasn't a 2500~ modpack on Skyrim that got my 4090 half sleep but still be hitting 45 fps outside Whiterun because trying to optimize 432gb of mods just is not a task for a mortal person :mjcry:

but... 45fps still higher than Hellblade 2 :lolbron:

Stop quoting me you dumb ass nikka. It running shytty in cities means it runs shyt like shyt. Or is that not part of the game?

Hey if we are being honest about scope/priorities vs performce.

What’s your wildest guess why the performance would have problems in big cities??

but the price is the issue. you're gonna spend more than just buying the console.
:yeshrug:
Pratchett had the Vimes Boots theory for this very thing. You either spend a small amount of money over and over again while still having a subpar product, or you spend more just once and have it carry you. You do your build right and it'll last you more than 2 console generations.

If you assume every person can get baseline value out of a computer anyways and you take your daily driver PC money, put it with what you'd save staying up out the console bullshyt for a couple generations, you can get a build. And then from there the marginal upgrades + the resell onto the secondary market + the discounts on games you can get from access to more than a singular storefront for purchasing will come out to more money saved than sitting there buying PS4, PS5, PS5pro, PS6, paying full-price for everything you'd want to play even 9-12 months post release... it's literally more economical long-term to go PC.

But most times people aren't looking at that and the idea of a $500 box that half-asses it's way through things seems like a better option. But... ultimately it isn't. I get the concept. But it really is tantamount to buying a used car every 3-4 years and having it die and then needing to move on to the next used car. Eventually it's going to end up costing you more than getting something solid that will last and potentially even resell down the line.

I excluded mentioning the Xbox ecosystem because it's pointless. An Xbox Series X at this point is just a mid-tier mass-manufactured gaming PC without functional upgrade capability because everything that comes out on the system comes out on PC anyways.

this generation has shown that time and time again, they'll take convenience over what's better. The differences don't mean much to the average person considering the difference in price.

but back on topic.

Game will get rated high for graphics (obviously) but everything else will get the game's review scores knocked. 5 years for a 5 hour game that won't move units ain't good.

fair enough, I get you.

Still beautiful outchea in these non-upscale, fully-rendered streets. The RTX puddle glint off the asphalt look better than some nikkas' babymamas :blessed:

It’s not about “convenience”

You rocking $500 hardware while other people working with $2500+

The fact that these games work as well as they do on console is a testament to the work put in by devs.

Fake performance modes? :gucci:
FF16 runs at 720p 30fps for the majority of its “performance” mode. Most people in the OP said the shyt was so dusty and weird they didn’t use that mode.

You still called that shyt “60fps” as an example of a “next gen” game performing well on consoles :stopitslime:

Some devs have decided to forgoe a raggedy performance mode , instead of including it just to check a “feature” box for forum posters :manny:
