The ring is called the squared circle because it's Masonic symbolism for the flat earth! :ohhh:

Lol why you saying all this extra stuff no one said. No one said any of that, just pointed out the statement he made. If it is all fake then still it is incredible because in it Doug Williams predicted future events

Besides i always thought the WWE product was being intentionally sabotaged, Some of the creative decisions being made are incredibly stupid, Vince and some of these other cats cant possibly think these ideas are great, i dont think the same mind suddenly doesn't know how to book a promotion or will no longer push people who are over or can no longer recognise who is over.

I remember them filing a lawsuit to try to prevent wrestling with shadows from airing in the US on A&E. Given that documentary was many late 90s fans exposure to the business behind the Screwjob, why would they try to prevent it?

Do you know what just came to mind, Bret had creative control. Bret even says in the dark side of wrestling documentary and many times over the years he had creative control of his character for the last 60 days written in his contract. If Vince screwed him why didn't Bret sue for breach of contract?

:ehh: compelling thread on the tired Screwjob topic. I still don’t think it’s a work based on the fact Vince doesn’t have the patience or smarts to pull off such an elaborate angle like that imo.

The reason many give his because Vince could then press assault charges for Vince punching him. But that's a question I always wondered myself.

You really think Bret would give a fukk about any of that in the aftermath?

Yes, yes I do think Bret would give a fukk about Vince screwing him and breaching the creative control clause in his contract., why wouldn't he.

There's nothing to really gain at that point, especially since he was done with the company anyway.

The same Bret Hart that after he was done with the company went on various talk shows and gave various interviews talking about how he had given his life to the company and they screwed him? What did he have to gain from that?

And don't be naive of course there was something to gain, he would have been awarded a financial settlement by the courts. If Vince was smart, and he was back then, the minute Bret sued it wouldn't even have gone to court, Vince would have settled out of court with Bret because a court case they were destined to lose because they had clearly violated a contract would have brought even more bad press to the WWE. Not to mention all the video evidence that documentary being filmed about Bret would have had in support of Bret, like the recording of Vince telling Bret it was gonna be a run in.
