look.. lets be honest, neither side knows if it exists. y? because we're all still living. whats the point in arguing?

i believe in heaven because I'm a Christian and the biggest component is FAITH. that's the whole point, you're not supposed to know for sure what's going to happen. if you did that would change your motives and actions.

yea i agree, but far too many people "know" that god is real and "know" what he wants them to do on earth, and what the right way to live is. when none of them actually know

thousands of years of programming, i'd say its more acceptable then the people that KNOW he dont exist, KNOW it cant be proven, yet STILL bytch about it consistently cause their prayers didnt get answered

How come every time someone has a near death experience they always go to heaven? None of these motherfukkers forgot to repent for some shyt? They all just go directly to heaven, eh? And how come it's always the heaven they were raised to believe in? How come you don't see Hindus going to a Christian afterlife, Mormons going to Muslims? Why don't these stories revolve around one central "right" answer?

this isnt true..there's plenty of stories of people saying they went to a "darker" place and felt fear and agony...

That's why atheists ask questions about god. Because religious people don't.

Religion teaches you NOT to think, just believe without asking questions.

#criticalthinking

and u nikkas will never understand that God and religion is 2 different things...u can believe that there is a higher power without the confines of a specific religion...

internal realms and outside paradise
It's already been proven that the human body releases hallucinogens when near death, and that these "near death experiences," "out of body experiences," etc have a biological basis. Sad how people still cling to obselete notions.

it is you who is clinging to the obsolete notion. the very man who submitted the idea you state, dr. alex straussman, has already made it clear he hates people who state that idea as a fact. he just made it up out of thin air, based on nothing at all. ironic.

you have a lot to learn.

and the dream world is nothing at all like the spirit world.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but apparently this guy had several conversations with one of the hosts of The Atheist Experience -- a weekly tv show that airs in Austin, TX on public access. Tracie only posted his e-mails, and not her responses, but if you're interested, you can read it here.

Center self, inner self
I watched one of my aunts die from spinal meningitis. One of the most fukked up moments in my life. My parents made me stay in the hospital room, you could hear her choking to death on the fluid in her lungs while she was in a coma.

Anyway, as TUH stated the brain is capable of creating complete false hallucinogenic realities. We've all had dreams where we were completely convinced it was reality until you woke up and let out a deep sigh of relief. I know this best because I'm an experienced lucid dreamer and I've done and seen insane shyt when I go to sleep at night.

I hate when fellow lucid dreamers bring lucid dreaming up as if it disproves the existence of God and heaven. Lucid dreaming is not the end all be all. It has nothing to do with the afterlife.

In fact, if you're lucid dreaming and not using your adventures to come in contact with your true self/higher self/God self, then you shouldn't be wasting your time in the first place.

Jung was a lucid dreamer, and he claimed that without a doubt dreaming verified the existence of God. He didn't go into depth about his experience, but he knew God existed based on his experience.

Lucid dreaming blows my mind everytime I do it, especially because I'm on some inception level shyt. I can make objects appear and disappear, make people appear and disappear and basically do whatever I want. I fly around all the time like superman, I could go to "heaven" if I really wanted to. I've flew from the Earth to the Moon one time, I tried landing on jupiter but my brain couldn't process what landing on its surface would be like (even tho it has no surface) so it turned into a super mario galaxy planet :heh: I've had dreams where I died and came back as a ghost to see how life was without me. I've had some crazy crazy times.

Yes, but those were dreams. I've dreamed the same thing, had the same lucid dreams, and I never once confused a dream with the true reality of the afterlife, and neither should you.

Was it fruiter then the pic that made you quit posting for a year. :laff: What a fakkit you are. nikka such a bytch he stop posting cuz people saw what he look like :heh:

because some sort of continued existence sounds better to me than life having no meaning.

I have no logical reason to believe in an afterlife, and I'm not religious, but I'd just rather believe in that than the alternative.

I'm talking about lucid dreaming to explain what the mind is capable of. I said in my posts that we've all been in dreams that we confused with absolute reality. Obviously if you're lucid dreaming, you know its a dream. Lucid dreaming can only go as far as your mind can imagine. I don't know what the fukk a higher being/god looks like, my mind wouldn't even know how to display it to me. That's why when I tried to fly to Jupiter and land on it, it didn't work. My mind could not imagine what the surface of jupiter was actually like, so it turned into a Super Mario Galaxy planet.

You can use lucid dreaming for whatever you want. I've asked my dead grandma what dying was like and guess what? I got no answer, because dreaming is in your brain, you're not pulling secret information out of the ethereal. I have no idea what dying is like so there was no response.

The point is, when you have a near death experience you're tripping your balls off, its not "the afterlife" or heaven.

Wait, why does not having an afterlife mean your current life becomes meaningless?

Don't you have a family? Friends? A career? Hobbies? Doesn't something make your life meaningful already? Why is your life having meaning predicated on some sort of reward after you die? The opposite of continued existence isn't meaningless life.

And besides, what if that afterlife is an eternity of torture? Would you really prefer that over not existing?

lets see, Do you call it insecurities when you're parents request that you do what you were taught(do what you were told)?

part of worshipping God is to do what he has taught/told you in his book. your parents give you a law to abide by. they want you to abide by that law. when you do. you are showing reverence for them and their words. You trust them and their words. when you dont obey you are showing the opposite. that you dont NEED Them. and that their teachings are of no use to you.

the problem with that way of thinking is that. God was here before you got here. he made YOU. not the other way around. therefore he Would know whats best for you. not YOU. just like your parents would have a better idea of whats best for their young child then the child would.

Do your parents say "tell me you love me" or "I love you" and wait for you to say it back? Do your parents hug you and wait for you to hug them back?

well guess what. God is your father. he wants the same thing. where do you think you got that desire from as a human. to be loved. from him. for whatever reason he desires to be loved by things he has created. you call that insecurity i call it LIFE.

Raise your hand if you dont want to be loved by anyone/thing (dogs and cats count too). exactly. no one in their right mind would raise their hands to something that ridiculous. but since God wants to be loved, he's all of a sudden insecure. L o L on that one.

If you were about to die in a burning car and I saved you. you would probably say "Thank you thank you thank you rapbeats for saving me.. man you saved my life."

well God is sitting there like uhhh you know i just saved your soul by sacrificing my Son right?

Christ is like, you know i just helped saved your soul by dying on that cross for all of your sins.

God didn't make me or anyone else. God is man-made. God is something people made up to explain the inexplicable and to make them feel better about the fact that they're going to die. You believe in God and the afterlife because you are terrified of the alternative. That is not proof of his existence, that is proof of your fear and bewilderment.
