MPJ a bum smh fukked up a 6k ticket.
@KnickstapeCity's new favorite player
Good luck with that, #1 defense against the 3pter and hes never been a particularly smart or consistent player; hes already rattled after one loss at home and refused to speak to the media
Denver is screwed as long as they have the biggest liability on defense in the NBA [Jokic] standing in the middle
What’s crazy is his cardio is actually insane
Very interesting seeing the Nuggets in 4 and 5 posts on here and then seeing how they will switch up after game 2 or 3.
Spo will run circles around Malone coaching wise he isn't Darvin Ham when it comes to adjustments as well as X/O's
So a team that has won every series as underdogs make it to the finals just to get swept?
Denver on paper is not a better team than Boston defensively.
Coaching matters in the finals Malone is another version of Bud and you will see it this series.
Whatever shortcomings you believe Malone has as a coach is negated by Jokic being able to control everything on the floor (a caliber of player the Heat don't have at their disposal). Not too dissimilar to coaching not factoring into it when Bron was in his prime and he took control of games. When he ran through the East for a decade he didn't have the best coach in every single series did he?
I think you're putting far too much emphasis on coaching here given we just saw the Heat cough up a 3-0 lead and if it wasn't for Tatum and Jaylen no-showing in Game 7 (which we've seen from them in the past), it would've been arguably the greatest collapse in playoff history.
If the Heat were to win this series it'll be on the basis on them getting hot from 3 (as has been their story this postseason), and not because of whatever margin you believe there is in coaching.
How come I didn't get a tag from you after this game @Hawala Man?It says he knows what's best by getting the fukk outta the way and letting one of the greatest modern offensive creators do his thing. No coach worth their weight in salt would tie down Jokic with micromanaging.
You'll find that the vast majority of great coaches (not saying Malone is one of these) will let their players dictate what's happening at the end of games. Spo let Jimmy do this down the stretch of Game 6. The best players in the game don't need their hands held; they figure it out for themselves on the floor.
Again, the point to that is, whatever perception you have of Malone's coaching ability is nullified by Jokic being good enough (along with Murray) to read what's happening on the floor and adjust accordingly. Again, whenever a Bron-led team has dominated in a series, did you ever see yourself prior to the series talking about how the other team would win because they had a better coach?
If Miami do win, neither of us knows how they'll do it.
However, I can safely say that they'll need to win the 3-pt battle, and not just win it, but it'll have to be of a significant margin; one that Denver simply can't make up for in other areas. You can talk about all the game-planning and adjustments you want, but if those shots aren't falling for Miami, they won't stand much of a chance.
