Nuggets gotta play high level defense to win this series.

Nuggets have no issue outscoring the Heat. It's what they been doing all playoff. Fantastic offensive game after game..

You defend and keep a lid on Maimi offense. If you let Mami have their way and they bust their ass on defense. It's gonna be a long series. You better hope you can outscore than more than they can outdefend you.

Well, that's what the game essentially came down to.

Miami made 17 threes at 48% and Denver 11 threes at 38%.

:yeshrug:

That doesn't mean the Heat didn't show mental toughness and it doesn't mean the role players didn't rise to the occasion. You can talk about them both, together, they're not mutually exclusive concepts. The game was decided by three points in a back-and-forth battle where both teams had double-digit leads; Miami shooting that well from behind the arc is the most important component in them winning.

MPJ's lack of contributions on both ends had more impact on the result than Miami's "suffocating defense".

You could limit any game in the playoffs to “They made 3s so they won”.

It’s the most simplistic and goofy way to look at the game. We executed well, just like last game, and the Nuggets struggle to defend our shooters especially in PnR setting.

Jokic’s passing options and lanes were limited, he was committing numerous turnovers due to being rushed, and he was consistently struggling on close outs.

If Strus shot like he did tonight in the first series, it would look different too. Saying the Nuggets lost because of MPJ is like saying we lost because of Strus.

Role players aren’t expected to be consistent.

The Nuggets got outplayed and the Heat were able to generate better looks for their role players than the Nuggets were. Jamal got locked up by Jimmy and he struggled to score whenever Jimmy was in the game.

Oddly enough, Bam is playing better in this series- the matchup is far better for him.

He's better than AD. At least at this stage. He does so much more for winning basketball. Jimmy gets way too much credit when Bam is their best player. You take Bam away and Miami defense doesn't work. shyt, their offense doesn't work either.

:laff: NOW BAM IS BETTER THAN AD
AND JIMMY.

THESE fukkING BRON STANS
ARE THE BIGGEST fakkitS
ON THIS BOARD.
