If sports didn't exist before slavery all of this "athletes are SLAVES" boogey man shyt would have some validity.

But that's not the case.

And if Blacks disappeared from the face of the planet TOMORROW, sports would continue to be played.

Athletes of all races and nationalities have the "misfortune" of only being valued and judged by their physical abilities. Its the nature of the game and one of the reasons why humans like sports. It taps into our inner primal instinct of wanting to conquer through competitive force.

NOw an argument could be made in that Black society is in such shambles that one of our most viable career fields is one with an infinitesimal selection rate AND a career field where only our bodies our value.

I've been playing fantasy football for about 10 years and never once heard someone say "I own" certain player
