I dont know the full context of the story but let me say this. He shouldnt SAY IT. But it's not incorrect at all. THus why many soldiers and veterans hate when people say "thank you for your service".

I signed up with the military for it' benefits and advantages and my own career. I cashed the checks and took advantage of the benefits. fukk you and your service.

But im sorry anyone who joins the military understands that you are at risk of putting your life on the line under someone else's discretion/orders

I only have sympathy as a black man because like most black men in america,I can relate to the ongoing struggle of rather or not to sell your soul to achieve the american ideal of success. But for some of those who in their mind never comprimised I can see why symppathy may be more difficult.

The ideology behind these militant groups comes from and is intentionally spread by Saudi Arabia. Long time close ally of the USA.
