It’s almost as if white people and black people are treated differently in the western world :ohhh:

yes, we have the right to be mad if our handful popular black characters in pop culture are white washed
Straw man argument. But you’re entitled to your opinion about it, it doesn’t make me money either way. I respect it. If it’s a good show it won’t matter

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and I don't see anything wrong with it. It's a story and he's portraying a character. As long as he does a good job of making the character alive it doesn't matter if he's black or white. OP you sound like those incels that rage when they're a female lead or black character in video games. Stop letting them white wash your brain. It's more colors out here than just wyte
It's a retcon though, basically changes the character in a show that's supposed to maintain continuity. For a fan it looks weird and you're also missing the fact that for like almost 20 years this character was presented in a certain way on screen, for the fans it'll probably disengage them with his appearances now.

How many different actors have we've seen play Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, hell the person that played the original Dumbledore died and they swapped him. It's a fictional character. As long as the actor portrays the original spirit of the character it doesn't matter what color he is. J.K. signed off on it so that means that she's okay with it. How are people going to tell her she's wrong when she created it lol

Hbo has a thing for a. Weirdo sexual situations in every show
B. Bending over backwards to fit in with the times

Yea thats not good casting. Could have easily made a new character or one not so set in stone. They want to cause controversy so people watch.
