I'm watching this shyt I'm just fed up with this dumb nikka ricky, letting this leech reggie fukk up his shyt... WTF??? why is he hanging on to this fool for??? :mindblown: And you wonder why all these dumb nfl nikkas end up broke??? Rock was spittin that real shyt.... and then you call reggie over afterwards anyways???

PS... : leasing the new mclaren tho???? :mindblown: You aint got no money!!!!

He's got over $200,000 sitting in his account pleighboi.

so my critiques as I rewatch the 2nd episode:
- I hate that Ricky (who played in the NFL) looks like the only NFL ready athlete at OTAs. Not just size wize, but even wearing the jersey/shorts.
- Vernons family could've been set up a little bit less stereotypically. I feel like his story is central to the plot, but I'm only empathetic to him because of the money he loaned the Rock.
- Ricky can act man. He was a lil sketchy in that first episode. But this episode he held his own. When his girl is giving him the necklace, he says some shyt with the exact tone/expressions as his father.
- That OL's part needs to be cut.

I can dig that from the coaches maybe. But he's an 80 catch dude. He doesn't know anyone on that roster from college or the draft? I'm probably just looking at it too deeply. But it just seems weird that they're treating him like a rookie/stranger and not like a dude with pro bowl talent.

Yea, we could go IN on the logical fallacies of this show, but it's just a comedy, so I don't expect shyt to make sense down to that level. Just be funny, is all I ask. :yeshrug:

This show, like most comedies, will come down to the execution. It's going to need strong performances from the actors. Ricky's showing potential, so is Vernon, with his dumbfoundedness to all the dumb shyt going on around him. It could be great TV watching Vernon finally cut his 'family' off...except Reggie, he needs to stay for fukkery.

I agree the OL scenes are shyt, mainly cuz I don't like that country bumpkin humour.

I hope they bring in a young wild rookie with his first taste of money/fame soon.

I gotta rewatch it but it seemed like only the other wideout had a problem with him. And also it could be like nikkas know he on his last chance on some T.O. wit the bengals type shyt. Being that "trouble maker" with previous teams so he gotta come in and earn they respect.

Hell it took Olineman turn car salesman to get him pick up by the Dolphins

Yea they def need to add a rookie character like playmakers had. It could be dope depending on who they get.

Add a black rookie QB based on Killa or Winston :ohlawd:

The reggie/vernon storyline remind me of cam calloway and the nikkas he aint wanna leave behind on Survivors Remorse.

I wonder who Vernon and Ricky based on ...ricky moreso T.O. /Moss wit the fighting and size Steve Smith ?

Playmakers was a serious show that painted the nfl in a bad light. Ballers is a comedy and will probably attempt to show some truth in a more light hearted way.

Did you read the last part of what you posted.

Same thing I'm thinking plus Playmakers was on ESPN which has a heavy relationship with the NFL, although HBO would not want an issue, I doubt losing Hard Knocks is that big of a deal to them.
