You must be a cac, cause that shyt was not funny to me. Ari's dialogue was amusing, but not so much that I would put this show in the comedy category. I remember when it was nominated for the Emmys and it was in the Comedy category, I was like :whatthehell?:

Typical coli response. Keep that shyt in TLR

Plenty of black folks like Entourage.

I don't know I took it more on a fnl tip

'Ballers' is a new half-hour comedy series starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The first season begins its 10-episode run on June 21, 2015 at 10 pm. Looking at the lives of former and current football players, the show follows former superstar Spencer Strasmore as he gets his life on track in retirement while mentoring other current and former players through the daily grind of the business of football. Rob Corrdry, Omar Benson Miller, John David Washington, Donovan Carter, Troy Garity, Jazmyn Simon, and Arielle Kebbel also star. Created and executive produced by Steve Levinson; executive produced by Mark Wahlberg, Peter Berg, Dany Garcia, Julian Farino, Evan Reilly and Rob Weiss.

This show is, unquestionably, supposed to be funny.

I don't know why this is so confusing/ambiguous to some. HBO traditionally does it's scripted comedies in 30 minute increments and it's dramas in hour increments.

It comes on in the same time slot as Veep/Silicon Valley. They have their drama (True Detective) followed by two comedies (Ballers and The Brink) on Sunday nights. Been roughly that way for a while now.

I believe the show has to be labeled a comedy or the nfl wouldn't allow it. Comedy is looked at like fiction. The first episode was good Imo but it wasn't funny.

So now drama's can't be fiction? :francis:

Enjoy the show, but don't make up excuses for it's lack of humor. It's trying to be funny, the first episode was not.

Ok fair game brehs!! We can't have too many black casted shows on tv brehs!! Let's be the crabs to stop watching it so it can be cancelled by ep 3:francis:
