Saw this on Twitter. It says offer is for new subscribers and returning eligible HBO Now subscribers. I suppose if you subscribe to HBO NOW a la carte, you might be able to cancel your current subscription and sign up for this to save money each month. Not for sure yet, might test it out

$11.99 a month for a year is pretty solid, compared to $14.99 standard price

The $11.99 is for HBO Max, i'm assuming that HBO Now will be no more after HBO Max launches. The offer is on the HBO Max website but not HBO Now

I subscribe to HBO Now a la carte, so I canceled my HBO Now account last night. Signed up for this offer with a different e mail address and got the savings . I'm sure down the line HBO will eventually phase out Now, but they haven't announced plans to do it anytime soon.

If you have HBO through an ATT device currently, you should get it free when it launches later this month.

Hopefully we'll get clarification on whether or not 4K streaming will be an option in the future. Damn near every low budget sitcom on Netflix is shot and offered in 4K/Dolby Vision HDR. Ain't no reason why Max can't do the same.

Would be pretty disappointed if it's a no-go.

I hope this doesn't mean they will cancel criterion channel like they did filmstruck. Which was 10x better than The CC

I'm late with this reply but it shouldn't get rid of the Criterion Channel, they've just partnered up to offer a select bunch on Max.

I'm late with this reply but it shouldn't get rid of the Criterion Channel, they've just partnered up to offer a select bunch on Max.

That worries me even more that they would have two services doing the same thing

I get free HBO through my boy's son, who works at comcast. I'm not gonna pay for HBO max out of my own pocket just to see a couple extra shows.

plus HBOGO already got all the piff I need.

I'm fairly certain you're right as well, HBO Max is replacing HBO Now, I assume they're keeping HBO Go for people who still have cable subs but don't have ATT or whoever else they're giving upgrades to automatically
