Why is HBO Max Hiding Its Criterion Movie Selection?

It is a head scratcher. I was initially going to say it's because of name recognition, since new streaming services tend to hype up the most mainstream, attention grabbing properties. But Studio Ghibli doesn't fit that narrative. Only other thing I could think of is a possible agreement between them and Criterion to not have a dedicated hub so as to not "steal" subscribers from the dedicated service. If not, they done goofed

The only thing I think has been egregious with the launch is the confusion they caused by having so many HBO platforms. Seems it could be easily avoided. There's a bunch of business bullshyt from both parties that goes into the whole Amazon and Roku thing, so I don't consider that a gaffe, just par for the course. Though it could be argued they should have had that all settled before launching, even if it meant a delay

I just know I'm enjoying the service and had no issues getting the app minutes after launch. I won't lie, HBO's history of quality makes me give them leeway since I think they'll figure it out. But they earned that benefit of the doubt

i think those where stickied for awhile as well but the traffic wasnt there so it dropped.

i would at least stickie this during the app drop for a month or so but its not my call

We have a sticky for a show that doesn't even hit our shores for another four months. I think this would be fine. They do a shytty job of managing stickies overall
