2. Dialogue was great
3. Some accent slipping here and there
4. The cop cars - something about the mundane-ness of them got me rolling.

When Marlon was doing the tour for Black Leopard, Red Wolf - he had a writer's workshop on YT. Don't know if it's still there. But having read BLRW, something he said stood out to me.

"Leave in the nasty bits"

He practices what he preaches.

Ep 2 is still waving the flag.

I'm honestly not sure of the point of the Hibiscus plot line or the 2 black male gay cops/detectives either. Standard Hollywood writing means that lesson learned in the Hibiscus plot has to inform what's going on in the main plot...but MJ is anything but Hollywood.

I did think it was funny when white boy threw her insult back in her face though. A lesser show (?) would not have done that.
