You’re right while it is possible statistically it’s just hard to take serious. They mentioned in the earlier episodes that when a wife it’s killed it’s the husband 60 percent of the time. When the husband is the last person to see her it’s just short of 90%. Then you add in he was a closeted gay living a secret sex love, he was making no money and her company basically went under and lost all her stock options and job and his wife has been showed to resent him. It’s the perfect storm for a murder.Based solely on what they’ve shown in the HBO show thus far, I don’t see how you can just dismiss the owl theory. It’s the only theory that explains everything without holes and is supported by the physical evidence. The only knock on it is that it is statistically unlikely. But it’s certainly not impossible. Both the defense and prosecution have illustrated that a shove and a fall alone doesn’t fit the scene. She would have had to have been beaten. And they haven’t shown anything to date to support the assertion that Michael beat her.
The latest episode introduced the fact that another case emerged where the victim was beaten without a skull fracture. With that victim being connected to the Peterson case, I see why Sophie would play the 3rd party attacker angle since it’s less far-fetched. I just don’t see why she started doubting Michael and, at least privately, the owl theory.

As far as Sophie I think she knew realistically he did it but her feelings towards him blinded her. There was a lot of evidence that I think was left out the show that pointed to him. One example is when the police and ambulance came the blood was completely dry.
I think that beyond reasonable doubt is just a honorable saying like how they say justice is blind because you’re right there was no smoking gun he did it. He basically got convicted because he was there and was the most likely culprit. They weren’t even certain it was a homocide. But it is a dramatized version so the doc might show more evidence.Agreed wholeheartedly that Michael is most likely the culprit. In addition to the things you mentioned, the most damning thing against Michael (aside from the 90% stat) is that he’s well documented and repeated liar.
But I don’t think his guilt was actually proven (at least by what was presented on the show). I think one of the major points of the show, and certainly of the documentary (as presented by the show) is that the American justice system talks a good talk with the “innocent until proven guilty” stuff, but the reality is you can and will be convicted without proof if there’s enough evidence to make a reasonable person confidently believe that you are guilty.
Can’t wait to watch the documentary. The show clearly picked and chose what to show and when to show it, likely to add suspense in making him look less guilty.
I'm one of those people that once I start watching something, I'm going to finish it no matter what. With that being said, I'd neg you if it still worked for suggesting this busllshytY’all watched Border
