My parents loved the last season and liked the finale. The more I think about this...the more I wonder whether our perception is warped by twitter - a platform that reached 7% of the population. The true majority are the people - specifically older people - who sit around watching shytty CBS shows, Law & Order etc. A lot of these types loved GoT from beginning to end, if they saw it of course.

Personally I hated the finale and the last season outside of 1-2 episodes.
Half the ppl like the show from beginning to end, half the ppl didn't

It’s like Walking Dead. There are lots of people who watched it all and like it. Then there are people who quit 3-6 years ago. The spectacle of the last couple GoT seasons was grand enough to entertain a lot of people who just want to see some sex and dragons.

No Whammies!!
I ain't met anybody who liked the end of game of thrones.
:unimpressed:

I didn't think it was great, but people are talking like it "ruined" the rest of the show for them.
Most shows don't even GET endings, so I don't really see how not liking a show's ending ruins something that you got a lot of enjoyment out of.

I feel the same way about "Lost".

I haven’t rewatched Game of Thrones in a while, but maybe I’d be more lenient with its ending in a binge format. Waiting week to week, along with the daily discussions and general hype and receiving what we did in the end was very underwhelming. Some folks I talk to who binged it for the first time ever aren’t so hard on its finale. Something I’ll try out some day I guess.
