Back during his Rocker days he was heavy in drugs and alcohol. It only got worse after that. The back injury slowed him down.

Have you read about 1999-2001 HBK? He was supposed to come back full time sooner than he did but he couldn't because he would show up to Raw and Smackdown pilled up and drooling on himself

Didn't he show up to Raw the night they bought WCW pilled out his mind shytting on Jericho about doing the Doink gimmick. I remember reading that shyt in Jericho's book he said HBK was slurring his words backstage asking him why they made Jericho Doink and later that night HBK was found passed out in Vince office. Think HBK was supposed to be involved in the Taker/Cripple H match at 17 and this caused Shawn and Hunter to have a falling out for a short period.

he wouldve got exposed in WCW, just like bret.
he wouldve had a dope U.S. title run tho. especially if the midcarders/cruiserweights were to get title shots.
HBK with the world title would be an utter flop tho, if they tried to put that belt on him.

it would also be a win for the WWF. addition by subtraction - just like it was when he got hurt.

Honestly if he went to WCW, he never would have gotten the back injury and probably would have died from abusing drugs. The back injury is what saved his life.

most NWA/WCW-branded stars are still alive too. the ones that arent, either died in the WWF or spent alot of time there.

Although maybe the tides would have shifted in a way where the two companies would still co-exist today, had HBGOAT gone South.
