The only player of the 2013 FA Class who might fit this criteria is Andre Iguodala who has an ETO (really don't want to think of Piru Paul in a Hawks uni). He won't leave.
shyt would be
Breh, you're probably right. I hope it's the back issue. I have a feeling it probably has something to do with Kobe and the #KobeSystem .
But he's not the best center right now. Tyson Chandler is better. Joakim Noah is better. Brook Lopez might be better.
Who would you really take?
Center 1 - 12pts 10 reb, 2blk 45% FG
Center 2 - 12pts 11reb, 1blk 67% FG
Center 3 - 17pts 12reb, 3blk 58% FG
Center 4 - 18pts 7reb, 2blk 51%FG
Not number 3.
Iguodala on this team would do wonders for this team. That's exactly who I was thinking and I read something last week saying he still isn't comfortable up there. He can check the melos and LeBron for us. He can distribute the ball well and his shooting won't be too bad with korver or jj at the 2.
Doubt he will leave 16 million on the table after a so-so season. Shooting career low numbers. No team would give him that type of money right now.
And I'd be mad if the Hawks would overpay for him, because then it's back to before the Joe Johnson trade. Iggy is a nice player and all, but Hawks need a real #1 .
Who is a number 1 that we could realistically attain? I feel like nba fans have this false perception that getting a "legit" number 1 is possible. There are superteams and then there are 25 other teams. Number 1s look for other number 1s to play with and that's the reality. Only hope every other franchise has is to magically get one in the Draft or find peices that fit together to a T, like detroit and dallas did. The nba Unfortunately is not like the nfl where everyone has a legit shot at the title. Now I'm not saying we should overpay, but we are a good 3 and a great coach away from competing for the eastern conference finals. Dwight or Chris Paul is not going to help us beat the heat breh.
Edit: you are right about andre's eto tho
I LOVE BOTH AL AND JOSH THOUGHTrade Horford for Howard
Horford is one of the best PF/C in the NBA with a very reasonable contract and has three more years left at 12 mil even.
Howard is one of the best players in the NBA. He is on a very reasonable contract and he's pretty good this year even if he's not close to 100%.
Now this is really a deal we actually lose considering Dwight is on his last year. But why not? We need Dwight. We are keeping Smoove to get Dwight and we still have money for another max deal and the ability to sign most of our role players.
Get Dwight make him a number one. Keep Korver, start Jenkins and we will just post up our bigs and shoot threes all day.

Oh ok, become the Magic and go to 2nd round like we've been doing
All the Magic had was Dwight. We got Smoove and a bunch of 3 point shooters. Championship
Since only the Pistons won it without said elite player, I'd like us to at least be able to entertain the possibility of signing Dwight if he wants to come. Then build around him. We already have some pieces. He can be dominant when used appropiately. If he doesn't, then next season fake a Horford season-ending injury, make Josh take 25 shots a game and draft Wiggins in '14.
