I'm still waiting for a historical film in which a BLACK person assists slaves in reaching their freedom.

Am I missing something? Has a film like this ever been made?

Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
fruit vale station was a good movie and I won't support black movies just because there black if there not interesting , quality and relevant

So I guess you will never watch any white historical movie either- American Sniper, Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan... I mean those guys are dead and gone. Why they keep rehashing war themes about dead white men?

Annie and Selma are both super relevant to what's going on today. In fact, it's a damn shame that you can turn on the news and see imagery that duplicates what's seen in the newer and older versions of films like these.
Some nikkas associate anything black with low quality. ::yeshrug:

Really is the problem. They've allowed certain critics to paint the picture that every movie with black people is just a low quality film aimed at black people. Dumb shyt.

I think get what you're saying here. Sometimes you just get tired of the same old musicals, dramas, and slavery flashbacks black films love to do here lately and just want a standard movie but with a black cast.

I wouldn't count out Top Five though because it looks like exactly that but I haven't seen it yet
Top 5 is very good . Suprised at how good it was actually
