Just to add to what I said earlier, I had a class with Deron Williams and I hooped with him once. A couple of other cats on the team was there too. I was on Deron's team, and we won every game, like 7 straight. Obviously, dude was cold (I honestly didn't know he was that good because at the time, he was only like a freshman, and I was a couple years older...this was before Illinois became the #1 team) but he was actually a willing passer, setting up the D, igniting fast breaks and all...and he'd dunk on yo ass too.
Luther and Dee would be at the gym more frequently. That nikka Luther Head would take every shot when I played with and against him. All he did was shoot 3s...but he'd hit em too. My one moment is one time my scrub team was playing against his, and he bounced the ball off some lame's head and everybody was laughing
Later in the game, I got crossmatched and was guarding him. He tried to do the same shyt to me, but I stole the ball and went coast to coast for a layup, and everybody was like "ooooooooooo"
Anyways, that dude had some rise too. I saw him do some dunks that would win some of these latest dunk contests, but for some reason in pickup games, college, and the NBA, he stayed shooting 3s
Dee was a goofy, but cool dude. I know they called him the one man fast break, and while he was fast, I wasn't blown away by his speed...but then again back in the day, I was hella athletic myself. One thing about all these NBA cats is, they NEVER miss shots. You play against some regular nikkas, u can play some decent D, and they'll miss. An NBA nikka will hit a contested J in your face. I was playing some good ass D (or so I thought) on Dee, and he just calmly shot a 3 in my grill
