Of course the ATL
You ever play at East Roswell Rec? It's this spot in the cut behind some mini mansions in the suburbs outside of ATL...Its a diamond in the rough because a bunch of former NBA players live around there and you can just go on a Saturday morning and get a run with Kevin Willis, Travis Best, Nick Anderson and Brian Oliver...

:ohhh: Really?

Just to add to what I said earlier, I had a class with Deron Williams and I hooped with him once. A couple of other cats on the team was there too. I was on Deron's team, and we won every game, like 7 straight. Obviously, dude was cold (I honestly didn't know he was that good because at the time, he was only like a freshman, and I was a couple years older...this was before Illinois became the #1 team) but he was actually a willing passer, setting up the D, igniting fast breaks and all...and he'd dunk on yo ass too.

Luther and Dee would be at the gym more frequently. That nikka Luther Head would take every shot when I played with and against him. All he did was shoot 3s...but he'd hit em too. My one moment is one time my scrub team was playing against his, and he bounced the ball off some lame's head and everybody was laughing :russ:
Later in the game, I got crossmatched and was guarding him. He tried to do the same shyt to me, but I stole the ball and went coast to coast for a layup, and everybody was like "ooooooooooo":krs:
Anyways, that dude had some rise too. I saw him do some dunks that would win some of these latest dunk contests, but for some reason in pickup games, college, and the NBA, he stayed shooting 3s :manny:

Dee was a goofy, but cool dude. I know they called him the one man fast break, and while he was fast, I wasn't blown away by his speed...but then again back in the day, I was hella athletic myself. One thing about all these NBA cats is, they NEVER miss shots. You play against some regular nikkas, u can play some decent D, and they'll miss. An NBA nikka will hit a contested J in your face. I was playing some good ass D (or so I thought) on Dee, and he just calmly shot a 3 in my grill :sadcam:

I went to U of I, too. Looks like I'm a couple years younger than you.
Played with Dee Brown once and he's definitely a cool dude. I remember he had a millenia or an infiniti or some shyt.

I had a class with Jack Ingram and he's really smart and studies his ass off. Then I had a class in summer with a bunch of football dudes for some basic ms office stuff basically an elective where you don't have to do anything and get grades and that whole class was jokes. Everyone was on BGOL.

Heaven on Earth
Morris Almond, that 2k legend

:ahh:

I made a thread at the old spot about guys that were beasts on 2K and garbage in real life...Him and Terrence Williams top that list...For some reason they made Almond the most complete 2-guard on the 2K8 game.. Dude was better than Kobe and Wade...

Every cotdam inch of GA..except the racist parts
played against shelden williams back when he was with the hawks. My best friend took me to this expensive ass gym that he can use because his job has a contract with them. Anyways, Shelden was there and when we played him dude was a straight BEAST. I had a 6'8'' guy on my team guarding him, and he couldn't even stop shelden for shyt..... this dude doing Up and unders, fadeaways, hittin shots from damn near the 3pt line. Turnarounds. Straight dunking like he was shaq. Homies footwork was superb. the way Shelden was straight beastin in the post had us all dumbfounded.

I remember after the game i asked dude "Why aren't you beastin like that in the league homie?" dude looked at me crazy like :rudy: and said "The league is a whole different monster man"
