Hearing these story put how seriously good these players are. Even the scrubs who can't make it off the bench in the league come out and look like Kobe.

Some poster earlier said truth when he said the pgs have you on some :ohhh:

I went to the gym out here in Dallas back in 01 with an older cousin and Nick Van Exel was out there hooping. I was excited as heck to watch him play. Van Exel had me n my cousin (and pretty much the whole gym) looking like :what::krs::dwillhuh: at the stuff he was doing. Dude was fast as heck, it was impossible for anyone to stay in front of him. And he only missed when people fouled him. I remember thinking "How in the world do NBA nikkas actually stop this dude? :wtf:"

It was truly an amazing site :wow:

I played ball with a NBDL dude a few months ago...it was 5 v 5 and my squad won, but he was clearly the best player on the floor. He made contested 3s, dunks, fadeaways...he was unstoppable. I forget his name tho.

I played football against this guy every fall from 8th grade through high school. It was not a good experience.

I aint saying its easy to get in the NFL but shyt like this just shows how good nikkas actually gotta be to make it the NBA

Awhile back some nikka was trying to argue me on here that it was easier to make it in the NBA than the NFL.

I shoulda just responded using nothing but the NBA smilies

:aicmon: :shaq2: :rudy: :russ: :dwillhuh: :childplease:

Hold on now. It's easier for cats to play bball against NBA players cause it's easy to set that up. It ain't as easy to set up a football game, but if you set up a flag football game I guarantee there'd be d lineman lining up at WR and running past cats half their size and there'd probably be some tackles that could do that too. The cats in the NFL are just as freakishly athletic and good at football as those NBA players are at bball. A 5.2 40 time is faster than you cats think it is.

Just to add to what I said earlier, I had a class with Deron Williams and I hooped with him once. A couple of other cats on the team was there too. I was on Deron's team, and we won every game, like 7 straight. Obviously, dude was cold (I honestly didn't know he was that good because at the time, he was only like a freshman, and I was a couple years older...this was before Illinois became the #1 team) but he was actually a willing passer, setting up the D, igniting fast breaks and all...and he'd dunk on yo ass too.

Luther and Dee would be at the gym more frequently. That nikka Luther Head would take every shot when I played with and against him. All he did was shoot 3s...but he'd hit em too. My one moment is one time my scrub team was playing against his, and he bounced the ball off some lame's head and everybody was laughing :russ:
Later in the game, I got crossmatched and was guarding him. He tried to do the same shyt to me, but I stole the ball and went coast to coast for a layup, and everybody was like "ooooooooooo":krs:
Anyways, that dude had some rise too. I saw him do some dunks that would win some of these latest dunk contests, but for some reason in pickup games, college, and the NBA, he stayed shooting 3s :manny:

Dee was a goofy, but cool dude. I know they called him the one man fast break, and while he was fast, I wasn't blown away by his speed...but then again back in the day, I was hella athletic myself. One thing about all these NBA cats is, they NEVER miss shots. You play against some regular nikkas, u can play some decent D, and they'll miss. An NBA nikka will hit a contested J in your face. I was playing some good ass D (or so I thought) on Dee, and he just calmly shot a 3 in my grill :sadcam:

Stack5, and he bought Devin Brown to Port Arthur with him once and Brown got shytted on and Stack was clowning that nikka telling him he warned him. Stack was untouchable if you wasn't on his team, may as well expected to lose unless Immanuel McElroy(Cincy, overseas player) was on your team. Dude was lowkey better than Stack5 just never got that break.

BJ Tyler, Shaq, probably some others I am forgetting.

Played against Josh Smith and Morris Almond when they both played for McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA.

Morris was killing us. Smith was a freshman and nothing special. It's amazing how much he's grown
