As long as you’re not eating mad pig feet and neck bones and shyt like that you’re good. My mom don’t like the fact that I be turning down her greens cooked in pork and shyt but she’ll be ok. Kids are going to these restaurants and might get a 3 veggie plate or af best getting veggies with baked chicken or some shyt. You can eat soul food without eating the bullshyt that can take you out early.

Soul food just aint chicken and waffles, collards and oxtails thats more stereotypical/commercialized depending on where you live your soul food will be different, you cant tell me if young Black kids had access to shyt like this

They wouldnt be :gladbron:
:feedme:
The soul food restaurants out here stay packed and its not just Black and Whites ive noticed Hispanics and even Asians starting to fukk with it, you even got Asians trying to open up their own casian spots:stopitslime:
Yeah I know Asians be on that Cajun tip heavy out in Cali with the seafood boils and fish fry spots.

I know with the restaurants it may seems like we’re getting appropriated more and more but it really makes me feel good to see ALOT of young brothas and sistas selling plates on Facebook, Instagram, etc. and keeping the food alive.

I've noticed a lot of younger Black people really enjoy soul food, they're usually the people I see at B&M, Angie's, Open Pitt, and Zanizbar Soul Fusion (soul food spots in Cleveland).

There was never a point in time where there were a plethora of soul food restaurants run by AAs, that were popular, so I can't gauge the popularity "now" versus "then."
Most people who eat soul food are having it cooked for them :yeshrug:
My mother and grandparents cook soul food sometimes, so I've had it my whole life.
1/2 their generation has gout too :francis:
