Have slow twitch fiber/dad bod Luka and Jokic changed your opinion on what Larry Bird would do in today’s league?

No. I always assumed Dirk with handles and Jason Kidd passing and still think Dirk with handles and Jason Kidd passing

Bird in today's era benefits from elite surgeons and medicine on top of a modern exercise regimen. He would have a much longer career.

Bird was 6'9 220. That is a pretty large player in any era and he could hurt you from the post, the mid range and the 3. Underrated rebounder and passer. Decent help defender and he had the basketball IQ to adjust his game to any system.

We called BS on all the "most athletic era ever and old players couldn't cut it now" dummy threads and posts over the years.
Should bump them to see exactly who saying that silly shyt.

How the fukk did you get race bait from this? :dead:

Are some of yall blind? Not just to the coli but to the actual real world?

Y’all haven’t heard people downplaying bird and dudes from his era? :dead:
Larry Bird is one of the greatest players ever
Luka is currently the vest player(according to me)….arguably top3

If someone is hating, ignore don’t assume they’re blackz
Why assume his haters are nothing but black folks hating on him because he’s white?

I feel like most black NBA fans recognize Luka’s greatness

The crazy part bout it is Larry would be even more dominant today than he was in his time wit how much smarter and more advanced scoutin, trainin and coachin is now. nikkas wasnt even practicin 3s like that back then and it was still kinda taboo or at least a circus shot to put in ya offenses. He 3peated 3PT contest and was havin 22/30 scores in an era wit no moneyball racks or none of that extra shyt.

Defensively he'd be better today too since he'd play the 4 full time so those athletic slashing wings that gave him problems he wouldn't be checkin as much and he'd be a problem on the glass. He had that white boi farmer strength. This a dude who was matchin prime Moses Malone in rebounds in an NBA finals and givin Twin Towers Hakeem and Sampson fits on the glass. He made All Defense a few times and was a really underrated and smart team defender before injuries started slowin em down.

But yea anyone who doubted Larry ability to play today don't know ball like that. Prime Bird would be the best player today no question. Jokac and Lukac both top 5 maybe even top 3 and neither as good as he was.

He was before my time but my pops loved watchin him :mjpls: and he always said he was much more athletic than he got credit for. He def was much more athletic than Lukac or Jokac. He used to yam it on nikkas heads from the baseline and he ran a mean fastbreak too. One of the quickest 1st steps I done seen from a cac in his earlier years.

Caldwell was All Defense and led the league in blocks a few times and Bird had a chest to chest poster on him.

Gordon Hayward before injuries might be the only other cac in the last 30 years who could get a move and finish like this off on Rodman or have a poster like that on a defender like Caldwell.
