The problem with the lions is that the front office vastly overrated the talent level of the team. People were thinking Caldwell and crew held the team back. No, they were propping the team up. Not saying they were great, though Teryl Austin, the former defensive coordinator outperformed his contract every year while the offense sputtered. Matt Stafford is a middle of the road quarterback that should be a game manager. However front office thinks he's up there with Brady, Rodgers and Brees. As long as that disconnect remains, the lions will be in the same predicament.

About the thread, he's a fukking clown. They all think that patriot way shyt works. Belicheck and Brady are the system, everyone else is just a body. He looked lost in the moment in his first ever game. Once the blowout commenced, starters should have been sitting. We lost the battle but live to fight another day type shyt. I'm the farthest thing from a Stafford sympathizer on this board but when he was getting fukked up after the game was out of hand, he should have been sitting. When he wasn't, I realized that Patricia mentally checked out.

This season will be comedy.

Most of these rankings are backwards. ″PantherPundit″ doesn′t understand that lower numbers are better for a defense :mindblown:

The Patriots ranked 29th in yards allowed but 5th in points allowed in 2017.

8th in yards allowed and 1st in points allowed in 2016.

9th in yards allowed and 10th in points allowed in 2015.
When you're always up, you are in soft zone preview mode. Pats make a lot of games over before they can even start. Lions are not that.

I think we got lucky with O’Brien since he’s at least an average mediocre coach that only “sometimes” makes boneheaded decisions :snoop:
O’Brien was a qb coach so he had the freedom to do his workload

I think he spent a year or two as OC (or whatever the hell the official title is they use for the pats). Then he got some head coach experience in college (which is what Patricia should’ve done first) before landing with us. I think that experience of head coaching in college was very valuable to him & us as far as game planning and management is concerned.
