The problem with the lions is that the front office vastly overrated the talent level of the team. People were thinking Caldwell and crew held the team back. No, they were propping the team up. Not saying they were great, though Teryl Austin, the former defensive coordinator outperformed his contract every year while the offense sputtered. Matt Stafford is a middle of the road quarterback that should be a game manager. However front office thinks he's up there with Brady, Rodgers and Brees. As long as that disconnect remains, the lions will be in the same predicament.
About the thread, he's a fukking clown. They all think that patriot way shyt works. Belicheck and Brady are the system, everyone else is just a body. I think he spent a year or two as OC (or whatever the hell the official title is they use for the pats). Then he got some head coach experience in college (which is what Patricia should’ve done first) before landing with us. I think that experience of head coaching in college was very valuable to him & us as far as game planning and management is concerned.
Every dynasty or great team in nfl history the coordinators get HC gigs. NE is no different. Look at how many guys ate of the 80’s 49ers
