Brah hella soft. Knew that when he started crying before Fields even stepped foot on a CMH tarmac. Came off really insecure with his tweets and comments during the rose bowl which means all that shyt he talking about being great is just a cover. Fact of the matter, would rather Baldwin or Fields , easy.

He spoke confidently about himself. But when he kept talking, I knew he was trying to speak himself into confidence. Like he was trying to convince himself he would beat out Fields. We all know how it'd play out if he stayed, just like last year between Haskins and Burrow. We all on here, and most logical people, knew Haskins was going to win the job. The coaches will give everyone a shot, but we all know how it'll end. Burrow didn't have a chance to beat out Haskins and we all see why now. Tate doesn't have a chance to beat out Fields. Guess he'd be better off transferring now and getting acclimated to a new program sooner rather than later.

I can’t front I was actually excited to see what Martell could do as the starting QB for us since I watched him on that Netflix show in High school. Was confident in him taking over once Haskins bounced.

This was before fields came into the picture though... I guess thems the breaks.

I definitely can see things from his perspective and why he's doing it. And it probably didn't help much that the whole welcoming committee was rolled out with Urban & D Hask. Then you got current and former players on social media championing him already. I'm sure he had to feel like shyt, if even just for a hot second. It just makes all that bravado talk funny now in hindsight. If you really was who you think you are, none of that would faze you. You would keep that same energy you had when they asked him would he transfer if Fields comes over and he replied with something along the lines of, "No. Why would I? This is 100% my job" and etc. To not even attempt to win the job after guaranteeing you would is soft as hell and just bad optics all around. What program worth their salt is gonna want a QB who was that scared before they even seen brah throw a live football. Fields just now got a light gym workout in today and that's it and you trying to get the hell out of dodge.

Granted, he could always say I'm just exploring my options and that there are no guarantees as far as him leaving but I feel like he not even worth taking a black stripe off after some shyt like this even if he did come back.
