Seems like the whole defensive staff minus maybe Taver Johnson and Larry Johnson are gone, though Taver isn't settled yet. I guess a major shakeup was necessary after the worst statistical defense in school history, but damn that's still a lot of change.

With Mattison, I'd be more ok if this was not for the D coordinator or position coach role. Like if he is taking a behind the scenes role, considering the rumors of him possibly retiring. Just don't see what taking a 70 year old coach does for you. They already negative recruit Larry Johnson.
