No Whammies!!
Hancock
Worldwide: $624,386,746

Man of Steel
Worldwide: $668,045,518

:yeshrug:

That's $750million if you adjust it for inflation at the same rate as the Domestic numbers.

Not to beat it into the ground :deadhorse:, but Hancock was pretty much the opposite of a "Flop".

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I asked this question in the MTV movie Award thread. if Wild Wild West was that big of a flop & if there were others. It seems to be getting a lot of feedback. I'm going to open this up to everyone. So, let's talk about it.
Has he made any true box office bombs?
he's actually made a few

Because they see that it costs 130 million and made
$243,843,127 therefore, success but that wouldn't even be a success if you don't include marketing. they didn't even double their budget
Plus people don't seem to think movie theaters get any of that money. A film makes $120,000,000 while in theaters, the studio sees half of that

Lol cats don't understand math or business man. Like a movie theater chain just stays in business thanks to the grace of God? There's a reason tickets increase

But most companies include marketing costs as a part of their budgeting, when recording numbers. And for a lot of blockbusters, sponsorship/tie-ins will offset those costs in some form, anyway.

The accounting world is shakier than the Forbes fortune lists. They only report revenue, and ignore expenses/losses to show success. So, since that's the model they use, that's the model they should be judged with. So, really you can only go by critical flop/success

Movies rarely, if ever, include marketing cost in their reported budget, that's the difference. Mostly when articles from variety or deadline or the hollywood reporter talk about marketing budget, they always use words like "rumored" or "supposedly" or "reported" because they don't have official word but someone on the inside is giving them the details. It's the reason that when its all said and done, WB is only slated to make a profit of about 230 million on batman v superman or why Sony needed to make a huge number to truly recoup from Spectre. They keep that shyt on the low. So when a movie is listing at costing 130 million that's just production. Marketing doesn't factor in to that number they give us on wiki or box office mojo

Just saying... think about how many "Kid Savior" or "Kid saves world" movies have came out in the last 5 years... hell 10!!! How many have been shytted on?

Especially the ones where the kids really have no training but are able to overcome all impossible odds and never ever as much as get a scratch on them:wtb:
Not going to refute your point as wrong but I don't remember the box office or critics being kind to enders game and that's just off the top of my head

So.... What does the coli have to say about Collateral Beauty? I dont think its doing too well. Can we ( the coli) add it to Will's list of under performing movies, therefore it being a flop?

Wasnt a damn thing wrong with After Earth. Cacs ripped it to shreds because of the obvious:mjpls:

It DID flop domestically but made up for it internationally

Focus did 150 mil on a 50 million dollar budget, definitely not a flop

Concussion only did 50 against a 35 Millie budget but that was an Oscar bait movie, if I'm not mistaken it's his first movie ever to not top out at at least a 50 Million dollar gross so you could qualify it as a flop if you were inclined.

He's got Suicide Squad, which at this point is almost a guaranteed blockbuster, and Collateral Beauty, another Oscar bait film, up next. After that he's confirmed to be doing Bad Boys 3 so big Willie still got something left in the tank:salute:
Do we just blame everything on CACS

:russ:

Geez you guys can't be this dumb:mjlol:
