Has Will Smith made any movies that could be a legit flop?

After Earth was definitely a flop, not sure how some are saying it wasnt.

Because they're going off the international box office without taking into account that the film budget posted doesn't include marketing. That's when films become true busts, when they don't recoup what the studio determined it would once the theaters get their cut and once the marketing is covered. If your production budget is 100 or 200, that should be multiplied by 2 to get the full true cost of a movie. So After Earth was at least $260 million and only made 243, which isn't including how much of a cut the theaters get. so yeah, that's a flop

This is really new to me. It was always an enjoyable movie to me. I remember when it came out and I was kid, burger king had some good value meal toys for it. Nice soundtrack. Oh well
Well if u associate fast food toys with good movies that's your first mistake. But since u were just a kid u get a pass.

Exactly. I still don't know why people are acting like AE made a ton overseas. The numbers can be found easily. shyt flopped hard.

Because they see that it costs 130 million and made
$243,843,127 therefore, success but that wouldn't even be a success if you don't include marketing. they didn't even double their budget

I know homie. It's just one of those films people on this board rode so hard for. They don't want to admit it failed. If it was a dope flick and bombed that's one thing, but it was not.

They already got the sequel in the works? Is that cause the great anticipation for the current one? And that kinda sucks if they get pushed before Bad Boys 3. And is he in the new MIB?

Naw he not in the MiB reboot.

The thing about Bad Boys 3 is EVERYONE is on Will's schedule for that movie. Will is the only bankable star so they literally have to wait to whenever he's ready.

Compared to bright which he is already contracted for and SS2 which if green lighted obviously he's gonna choose that first.

SS2 they basically waiting to see how the first one does. If it does well best believe they gonna push SS2 up before the nonsense flash/cyborg/aquaman movies. It's a known fact Batman is the only thing BvS does right. And if SS numbers proves that even more then yea....... There's a number of actors in SS who signed multi deal contracts.

I haven't seen After Earth but it was directed by M. Night Shyamalan which probably didn't help public perception. His name's been associated with shyt for a really long time.
