The MCU has gone cosmic and people are generally disappointed.
It just struck me that the MCU has always had a problem telling cosmic stories.
Even Infinity War focused on the characters and had to "overspend" to get the cosmic stuff looking right. Right?
In Phase 4 many think that Loki, Wanda Vision and (so far) Ms. Marvel are near the top.
Loki didn't have much action and did best in ep 6, which was mostly talking.
Ms. Marvel has had minimal action, but the action scenes so far are some of the worst parts of the show.
Wanda Vision fell apart (in terms of quality) when the all out fighting started.

Even going further back people will name Iron Man, GoTG, CW, TWS, Avengers I as some of the best and they are mostly non-cosmic. Even Avengers one had relatively little "power blob wavy hand CGI" type stuff. In CW scarlet witch focused on using her powers to affect real world things (knife, bury vision, cars) with minimal CGI blobs.
Dr. Strange I went more tactile and kinetic based with how the powers worked with only one real "energy blob power CGI" scene - Strange vs. Dormammu. That has changed and Strange is far more "hand wavy power CGI blob" now.
Given that Avengers aside people have complained about poor CGI it might be a fundamental problem that it's not possible to make everything look good without Avengers level money. This notion bolstered by them using animation in their most cosmic D+ show (What IF); a show designed to flesh out the MCU cosmic and the multiverse.
Given that the MCU (inc Xmen/FF) is going to be increaingly cosmic is this a concern?
