Has Anyone Repaired Their Image Like Ben Affleck?

I mean, come on. Guy went from one of those people who you avoided the movie they were cast in to in demand, on point, and all that shyt.

You have to go from Daredevil/Gigli to basically disappearing, wifing up Jennifer Garner, and coming back with a couple very well directed, and critically acclaimed movies with Argo and The Town, and acting well.

That is a huge as turnaround. From probably his turn as Jack Ryan in Sum of All Fears, and Changing Lanes era through Smokin' Aces no one really wanted to go see a movie with him in it. Then he comes back, gets some good roles, starts directing and people are starting to at least enjoy him again onscreen if not look forward to him.

Has anyone been able to turn their career around this well? The only one I can really think of right now is Jay Mohr and that was just him from going from a complete douche bag to someone tolerable. I will also pose this. Is there anyone who you think CAN turn their shyt around?

Around 'Gigli', 'Jersey Girl', and 'Daredevil' he just went too Hollywood, he was heading that way since 'Armageddon', while Damon made much better choices, he just went full retard with it, in the middle 2000's, plus the tabloid about him and JLO, he was the same dude, he just kinda lost his way, as a talented actor, writer, etc, for a few years. He came back in 2007, with 'Gone Baby Gone', I think that is the best of the three he did, 'The Town' was the slickest, cleanest, easiest to watch, but I think 'Gone' is his best work as a director.

'Changing Lanes' as def. an exception though, that was a good role, and a dope movie.

Nah dude. Gigli was straight ETHER to his movie career for awhile. That movie was so bad it forced Jennifer Lopez back to music for awhile. That movie was universally reviled for a time, it tainted pretty much every movie he made afterwards. He went from being one of Hollywood's Golden Children following Good Will Hunting to its whipping boy until he bounced back in Hollywoodland

I caught 'Gigli' on FX when they were playing it all the time in 2006, it's a bad movie, but no worse then A LOT of shyt that gets released today, it was a bad idea, bad script, bad execution, but it's just a dumb romantic comedy, I've seen worse.
