That's not quite what the quote says though.

Every person should get educated on their history. Donovan is implying something vaguely without really making it clear with a more exact quote.

Race aside, young people nowadays tend to get offended at the thought of having to learn before being able to have an informed opinion.
fukk that senator.

In the video, Senate President Stuart Adams, R-Layton, can be seen participating on a panel with other conservative leaders from across the nation in May, a day after the Utah Legislature called its own ā€œextraordinary sessionā€ to pass a pair of nonbinding resolutions urging the State School Board to ban what lawmakers considered ā€œharmfulā€ critical race theory concepts.

In the video, Adams tells the panel, recorded on May 21 as part of the Council for National Policyā€™s 40th Anniversary Meeting, heā€™d recently received a text about an article detailing Mitchellā€™s disapproval with the resolutions.

I hate to use names, but I will. Donovan Mitchell is not happy with us,ā€ Adams says in the video. ā€œAnd you start to get ... very popular sports stars like that that are pushing back. Weā€™ve got work to do to try to educate them. My text back was, ā€˜Letā€™s get after him and letā€™s go tell him what weā€™re doing,ā€™ because I donā€™t really think he understands what happened.ā€

there's no reason in hell why utah has a professional bball team and the likes of seattle or saint louis doesn't.
A team in STL would be dope for me, being that I'm just an hr and a half away. I was messed up when the Rams left, even though I wasn't a fan lol, but I understood because they were moving back to LA

Respectfully to Salt Lake City, for you what was it like leaving a city that had a predominantly white population to one that is predominantly Black? Does it remind you more of being back home in New York?

Itā€™s a little comforting for me, 100%. Iā€™m not going to lie about that. Itā€™s no secret thereā€™s a lot of stuff that I dealt with being in Utah off the floor. If Iā€™m being honest with you, I never really said this, but it was draining. It was just draining on my energy just because you canā€™t sit in your room and cheer for me and then do all these different things. Iā€™m not saying specifically every fan, but I just feel like it was a lot of things. A [Utah] state senator [Stuart Adams] saying I need to get educated on my own Black history. Seeing Black kids getting bullied because of their skin color. Seeing a little girl [Isabella Tichenor] hang herself because sheā€™s being bullied.

Tichenor-Cox reported three incidents starting in September of 2021, including an incident in which Izzy's sister had allegedly been called names by a student, the report said.

Tichenor-Cox reached out to school officials saying the same student had allegedly threatened her children and told them he had a gun, the report says. The school staff reviewed surveillance video and searched the student's backpack three days later, concluding they could not support the allegations, the report said.

A week later, Tichenor-Cox said "the same student called Izzy's sister the 'N-word' and touched her." The school could not confirm the alleged incident after reviewing surveillance video and speaking with two "potential witnesses," the report said.

However, school officials determined it seemed "more likely than not" that the confrontation occurred and decided to suspend the student, barring him from eating breakfast in the school cafeteria, and making both parties -- the student and the Tichenor children -- sign a contract agreeing to avoid each other. The report did not say if Izzy was aware of or witnessed the alleged incidents.

Smh.
