Playing devil's advocate: young people do need to learn about their history instead of acting like they know everything without ever having put in that work. But the rest is understandable, I mean it's Utah. Watching their crowd is creepy.

Every person should get educated on their history. Donovan is implying something vaguely without really making it clear with a more exact quote.

There's more black people in Indianapolis than San Francisco and Oakland COMBINED. Also more than Phoenix, Denver, Sacramento, San Antonio and OKC.

Indianapolis has always had a fairly large black population.

Milwaukee is an awful place for anyone. The city is 50% black tho lol

Even Minneapolis has a large black and African population.

Portland and Utah are the only NBA cities where it's really terrible to be black, in a sea of racist cacs

A few people called it out, but there are lots of Black folks in the Mil. Mayor's Black - as is the county executive, some aldermen/county supervisors and even the most recent Lt. Governor. Day to day, most people would manage fine, especially if you're an athlete and living here temporarily.

I'd say socially if you're an average Black person or looking to move "upward", it's not great for a number of reasons. And generally if you've got a higher income, good taste or are used to world-class amenities, it's a wasteland. Trust me on that.
But for the latter, make a drive or hop a train to Chicago like I did last weekend.
