Today we had storm warnings all day and were told to delay outside inspections for the time being(I work at a dam). We have divers who check the gates and hatches to make sure there is no debris and there are also turbines as well. Well this diver did his checks anyway to save time so he wouldn't have to go later and the water was too choppy and he got caught by a turbine and drowned. I wasn't there to see him die but I saw them fish him out. The worst part was dude had 2 kids and one on the way and was 2 weeks away from a new job. Im not a diver by the way...
Has anybody have a co-worker or seen anyone die on the job?

Yep worked in an airport back in college dude jumped like 4 stories landed dead in front of me and two of my co-workers fukked with one of the girls heads in a big way.Disgusting to see myself but sure ya gotta move on in time breh

Well that just fukked up my day. I wonder if his life insurance policy will refuse to pay out since he was directed not to dive during the storm warning. Sad shyt man.
They'll investigate it but im sure they will deny it. It was clear that we had a storm warning.

damndamn man. Thing is that's not the 1st person to die there but I wasnt there for that, it's usually regular people who like to swim and fish in the reservoir.

And dude made close to 85k a year, all divers are insured up to 500k for accidental and whatever the diver himself takes out, him fam could have been well taken care of but you're right they prob wont pay a dime.

Man, this is in Birmingham? What dam is that you work at if you don't mind me asking? That sounds like something you would here about on the news. I know a couple of years ago, a guy died in my building on the toilet like Elvis Priestly. Another guy died in another one of our buildings a couple of weeks ago too.
