yes KAT was a superstar
how do you define a super star
A superstar must meet certain criteria while still being in their peak (hence there are vets who use to be superstars see Jordan at the wizards)

popularity i.e fame, shoe and jersey sales, peak brand endorsement etc

reputation i.e face of the league or consistently regarded as top 5 players in the league for multiple seasons

Accolades/body of work-this is self explanatory

the late 90's - early 2000's superstars were shaq,Kobe,Iverson,Duncan and KG

late 2000's superstars- Lebron,Kobe,wade,Duncan,Dirk

2010's Lebron, KD,steph,Harden,Kawhi

Nope that’s why I made a thread about it, mavs new ownership and gm aren’t basketball guys they’re business and logistics guys all the way through they saw Luka as a product that wasn’t getting the results they wanted and shipped him out, no strong arming asking his destinations or nothing because they didn’t have any ties to him he was Cuban’s guy

They just showed 31 other teams in the league that you in fact CAN do this and fundamentally changed the game
A lot of team owners don't want to win, they want the value of the team like someone who invests in empty houses.

NBA was tired of waiting for a new face of the league to emerge. Orchestrated this trade to ensure Luka takes up the mantel and because they need a young superstar in a Lakers uniform to drive media interest in the league.

That or the new Dallas owners are just stupid,.
Luka triple chin ass won't ever be the face of anything accept obesity :mjlol:

Did Vince(Toronto) or TMac( Orlando) asked out of their situations

Vince didnt, he wanted to stay, but his PPG were dwindling every year. When he got traded he was averaging 15ppg. He wasnt playing like the 27ppg VInce when he got traded by Toronto.

I dont think Tmac asked out, but his last season in Orlando they had the worst record in the league and he was due for an extension

The Jazz traded a 26 year old Deron Williams out of nowhere to the Nets because him and Jerry Sloan were clashing.

No one even knew he was on the market. And back then It was either Deron or CP3 for best PG in the entire league. And lots of people were picking Deron cause he could score more.

That's the most similar to this Luka situation. Deron might not have been top 5 like Luka tho but he was definitely a top 10 player.

Jerry Sloan got fired(because of Dwill) before he was traded. he was fired during the season and I think will was traded during the next summer

Donovan Mitchell?

maybe Alonzo Mourning.

I know Mitchell was happy to leave but I don’t remember him asking out.
