you are right

its tough. I just feel if a big white male star speaks out, it woulda garnered more attention and sympathy.

Not at that time. Brad wasn’t Brad yet. She was 22 so this is around 20 years ago. Probably right when seven came out or a year before. He was still the guy who showed up in Thelma and Louise

Probably because they talked about Trump's tape for weeks. When he and Harvey were friends, when he was a private citizen. And it took them an entire week to say anything. Looks bad.
Agreed but when you have to say something at the right time, do it. Look at Anthony Bourdain and compare that Matt Damon, Colbert. There are like three people that came out against Weinstein immediately.

Here's the update as of noon as well.
Matt Damon may soon be forced to comment on the decades of sexual harassment Harvey Weinstein inflicted upon his staff and a number of Hollywood actresses after one of those stars took aim at the Oscar-winning writer and star of 'Good Will Hunting.'

One day after Sharon Waxman revealed in a post on The Wrap that she had been working on an expose about Weinstein until Damon and actor Russell Crowe called her directly to try and bury the piece, Rose McGowan lashed out at the actor.

'Hey @Mattdamon what’s it like to be a spineless profiteer who stays silent?' wrote McGowan Monday afternoon, hours after calling on the entire board at Weinstein Company to step down for being complicit in covering up the executive's actions.

McGowan also acknowledged a few of Damon's similarly tongue-tied pals, tweeting: 'Ben Affleck Casey Affleck, how’s your morning boys?'

you are right.

But its not like the memory ever left?

My point is idk how much he cared about that. He was in Inglorious b*stards for instance.

I think my point is we men have to start talking.

Also true. Yeah the statute of limitations doesn’t run out on that thing. We as men do have to do a lot more. A whole lot more. Whether it’s powerful men like Clooney or regular guys like us. And that means speaking out on bad behavior when we see it but also having their backs when shyt goes south too as opposed to be “hard on hoes” all the time because comedy.

The amount of dudes in TLR calling the women who’ve worked with Weinstein “hoes” and listing them off (whether they’ve claimed to be harassed/assaulted or not) just shows that even when we think little of the abuser, some men think just as little, or even less of the abused.

shyt is baffling.

Affleck is currently having a meltdown of his own and Casey was out here yapping with his own allegations.

Dissapointing, this is why I avoid TLR these days. This is a rape culture in America.

I think we are better but we all have to be better.
