When I was younger in the mid 80's every "spanish" person I knew was Cuban. That influx was huge and most were illegal. My family left in 92 but it's been more and more fukked up ever since. Every time I would go back the once black owned neighborhoods were now almost all Cuban and/or white and I mean a couple of these places were ghettos back then. Gentrification is no joke in Miami.

Because their work ultimately harms us. If Latinos only started stuff, we wouldn't lose any jobs from it, would we? Latinos don't start much. They generally eat off many of the jobs which would otherwise go to blacks who need the jobs. Maybe Latinos don't take @TheStripper 's fukking sex work jobs, but they do harm black men's prospects, which tend to revolve around selling their ass for change. But if that's what you want to support, @spinoza , then what else can I say to you? When black men are worse off than we are now, I hope the one selling his ass on the street is you.

Black people are obsessed with "getting jobs" when we should be obsessed with creating jobs and being in charge of our own destiny. Right now were at a fork in the road. With latinos coming in we can start getting shyt together or get wiped out.
