my hitta my hitta….

that shyt sounds scary as fukk. I have anxiety. If I ever get that deep in my thoughts, my mind would think I'm dead.

thats a panic attack waiting to happen. put myself in a life time trance

You need to calm the hell down breh. :whoa:

Only time you need to be having a panic attack is during armageddon, the doctor says your test came back positive, or when she says its yours. If you can't relax then you can't meditate.

Hebei, but he also studied the Shanxi variation but played with Hung Gar and Pak Kua so training was lets just say different.
:salute: i see you, mine is primarily hebei as well but my grandteacher learned some things from Dai Xinyi, Xinyiliuhequan so some of the foundational exercises are different.

Nowadays everybody's teachers something from different places, mine also studied some cheng bagua, chen taiji as well. It's definitely not a bad thing.

You know it's crazy how every hsing yi practitioner have the same basic foundation yet none of us look the same, like when performing the 5 element linking form for example

@Broletariot @Hannibal Fox Hell, all my big meditation bosses I seek advice. :blessed:

If you read my description of how to meditate you'll notice I mentioned a sudden rush of heat that I feel when the meditation effects begin. Any clues as to :wtf: that means?
I'm not a 'boss' of this shyt lol :whoa:

But where are you experiencing the heat? I've been told that having your hands swell with heat is pretty good, but you don't want too much of it in your dan tian.

I'm sorry to hear that. Weed is a perfect medicine for me, I'm glad your off the meds tho. Meditation might be a perfect way for you to treat your anxiety further but you gotta trust shyt enough to relax like that. I meditate in the middle of the night sometimes when its most quiet and calm, you drop right into that zone quick and you don't want to leave cuz you feel such peace. Think about it breh, we spend our every waking moment thinking about shyt, worrying about shyt, on and on and on. Meditation requires you to get away from that stuff and fully relax yourself, just do the basic human functions of breathing and sitting up straight. When you get the hang of it the shyt ain't so hard.

In my mid section mostly like around my solar plexus down to my lower abs, I never noticed my hands to be honest. It doesn't last long but I always wonder what it is.

Word man, it's nuts. My main teacher learned initially from the Tang Shou Tao people and then a branch of the Sun Lu Tang family, and the portrayal of the animals especially is the most different thing. The Xing are very different in each one, but that's the beautiful thing about Xing Yi, the Xing doesn't matter as long as the Yi and the fighting strategy are in line with the principles of the art right :blessed:

It's a cool thing though, because having many different versions of the animal Xing gives you a lot of versatility in tactics, that said I feel like pretty much just focusing on a few of them.

As long as it's not burning you should be good, I think. And it's happening at the beginning? Sounds natural to me. I'm not an expert like I said though, consult with a teacher.

Just relax thats good it means your doing it right, you just awakened your Kundalini (I hate this word as it implies something intangible and mystical when it's not) welcome brother your learning how to really focus your mind.

(I tried to make this sound as non mumbo jumbo as possible and I'm no expert as everyone experiences this differently)

Wordup. I have heard that excessive fire in that area can be dangerous later on in a meditative session, but at the beginning it's a natural effect of tapping into that 'elixir field'

:russ: i think it's funny you're as reticent about describing this shyt as I am, just always feels so pseudosciency, lol.

5 element linking form does it for me so simple yet the way you can apply the principle of each element to another allows for much variation.

(I got into the habit of throwing Pao akin to a hung kuen player I need to stop doing that)

Yes and yes I hate the way people view this shyt like it's some form of quackery, however it serves a purpose:

The people who promote that way are easy to spot and easily avoided, and those who are gullible seeking some form mystical power soon learn what it is and come to appreciate meditation for what it truly is, every day I hear of people falling for the spookism though shyts sad man :snoop:

it's only so long quacks can pretend. thankfully we live in an era where nobody but dumbasses believes shyt about people setting things on fire with their hands etc.

That's the coolest thing about the IMA man. The way the postures can flow all together. I love linking the animals and elements to produce the right thing. What's even crazier is how the elements initially seem like 5 strikes but you can use all of them for throws/point striking/qinna/pushing once you realize that it's the jin/energy that's important :blessed:
