Brazillian Jiujitsu does the same thing. Prayer does the same thing. I guess meditation is prayer, for atheists.

Not really if one person is thinking about God and the other is thinking about his breathing.True. Its not just for atheist though. Meditation is prayer.
In the morning I do the 16 Longevity Exercises neigong and about an hour of San Ti Shi. I wake up pretty early to do it, but I've never been a big sleeper. Just gotta set small goals (like 15 minutes during your lunch break) and work up from there.

Prayer doesnt do anything though according to the peddlers of demonic filth.
Meditation brehs enlighten me. Can I just sit there with my eyes closed and takes deep breaths for 10-15min? I've wanted to try this for a while but never did, but now I wanna try it before bed.

I've had some rough go rounds with it so somebody more experienced might describe it better. Basically, you sit up straight with your legs crossed and your hands in your lap, you want to be in a quiet place before you begin. You close your eyes and just focus on a slow in and out rhythmic breathing, think about absolutely nothing other than your breathing and posture, this is the hardest part of Meditation for beginners imo. But you just completely clear your mind of everything, don't even think about the fact that your meditating, throw away self awareness, self centered thoughts, literally focus your thoughts on breathing and posture. After a few minutes you'll start to feel it gradually, to me it feels like a sinking feeling and a dramatic relaxing but weird thing for me is my body gets real hot for a few minutes then it calms back down one of the pros gon have to explain that to me. Its important when you feel shyt happening to not react or think about it or else your back to square one. The idea in a sense is shutting off all of the internal chatter and letting your mind and body simply relax and be.
