How so? People go to jail for tax evasion all the time.
Reid isn't saying that Romney is evading taxes, which is criminal, he is accusing him of using loopholes to not pay taxes, which is perfectly legal but political dynamite

Oh. Well IDGAF then.
I am pretty sure that Mitt Romney is not going to release anymore of his tax returns during this campaign. Personally I don't give a fukk...I know Romney is filthy rich, I understand why his tax rate is what it is and I just assume that a dude with his type of money probably has people wotrking for him to find every tax loophole that exists. So pointing out that Mitt has a shytload of money and may be gaming the tax system does nothing to sway me at all since I already assumed that all rich people were doing that anyway. You want to impress me? Make this tax conversation about fixing the shytty tax code that makes it possible for rich a$$holes like Mitt to do the things I assume he is doing. Otherwise it is just a distraction from having to actually put forth a plan that will address issues that are really affecting the vast majority of voters in this country.
I do have an issue with the Senate Majority Leader going on the Senate floor and making baseless statements like he works for Media Takeout. If this is how the game is going to be played then what will stop John Boehner from going before Congress and saying he had a phone conversation with a high ranking White House staff member who told him that President Obama himself personally leaked top secret intelligence information just to make him look good as oart of his presidential campaign.
And when pressed on it all Boehner has to say is "if Obama wants to prove me wrong then he needs to release all WH phone logs complete with transcripts otherwise he is basically admitting that he is guilty".
Exactly. Reid and the Obama fans (journalists) are setting themselves up for it.
The other thing to remember is that Reid is a Mormon--like Romney. One of the most prominent Mormons--like Romney. He may be throwing the Romney campaign a bone with this one. Wouldn't surprise me.
Timing is everything, in due time friend. But they have done that already, the republicans already did it with the birth certificate thing so this is just democrats punching back, there is no downside for the democrats by doing this
to do the final death blow reid needs to bring up the Rachel maddow story, she exposed how mitt was busted lying about his tax returns when he was running for governor, he claimed that he claimed mass residency but then it turns out he was claiming Utah residency and he got cold busted, then he retroactively ( yeah its that word again) filed as a mass resident, Reid needs to drop dime on this
nikkas avoid paying taxes every day b

You think Harry Reid would make a statement like this without having something to back it up? This is just somethign to do, like having an Olympic horsebesides the fact he's running for President, dude was governor of Mass, so you think he would have some concept of civic responsibility

And that's cool that you more or less don't give a fukk that Romeny is a lying tax skating fukkface, but be clear I want this man and anyone like him NOWHERE NEAR the White House, where policies that can affect the middle class and the poor can be put into motion.
Unfortunately, I have no interest in having Romney win this election in order to prove that statement correct, especially considering that unlike Obama, Romney would have very little in his way to enact any policies that the GOP would want.I wouldn't put anything past Harry Reid, he is a skeevy, bitter old c*nt who will say anything all in the name of party politics.
And the idea that Romney as president is going to affect much always cracks me up. Just like Obama is actually a Lieberman Conservative Dem and not the progressive savior like so many hoped he would be, Mitt is really just a Susan Snowe Liberal Republican who is just blowing right wing smoke up the GOP electorates collective asses.
And at the end of the day both guys are servants to big banks/big insurance/big business and will do as much or as little as their masters will allow.
