Where I shouldn't be
I was such a Mase fan that I bought this album with no hesitation in 8th grade lol

and actually liked it at the time, anything with Mase I was on

it's pretty bad. The production is tepid, generic Jemaine Dupri 1999 beats, there's a decent song or two. Total scheme for an imprint and putting some boys on. Which I'm not mad at, but the music wasn't good. Mase killed the verse though.

but giving Harlem World they flowers sounds crazy lol they didn't do anything but that one single
The only thing they ever killed was when they did that 'Eye of the Tiger' freestyle.

Harlem World's The Movement was pretty much Roc-La-Familia before Roc-La-Familia. I'm talking about the set up and the music. That album sonically had The Neptunes, Just Blaze, and Kanye West before they were huge. Songs like "Cali Chronic" was the East Coast flup of a West Coast sound that possibly influenced songs like "Change The Game" and the other Rick Rock songs on Roc-La-Familia. We know Mase's s influence on Fab and Fab's debut was basically a West Coast record.

also, had Kanye's first beat right? You Made Me ft Nas and Carl Thomas and the Harlem Boys choir lol

Very generic album for 1999. Had the dated ass 80's sample for the single. Had the melodramatic song for the close out. I believe a man vs woman style hook, halfway through. The most unique song was the one where the crew is all talking about each other. A generic weed song/Cali song.

Remind me of Philly's Most Wanted, and Clipse 1999 album too.
