Dray is a divisive player for both sides. I like his game personally. 2nd ball handler who can rebound/steal then run the break, finish and pass plus hit the occasional 3 but has since fell off.

It’s a team so yeah when on important component is gone the team will suffer. Dray wasn’t the main ball handler. So factor that and then subtract the two-three( maybe if all times) best shooters and best players from the team and he will get exposed.

Just like when you subtract dray, klay and Durant Curry wasn’t doing a dam thing. Where was gravity when there isn’t anyone who can make a pass or hit consistent shots and add to that he is a complete liability in defense.
:dwillhuh:

How could you possibly draw any definitive conclusions out of FIVE games? That's the total number of games Steph played this season. Five games with a new roster, filled with marginal talent (I mean you had cats like GRIII, Spellman, Bowman, Evans, Chriss etc getting rotational minutes). How could you possibly expect Steph and the Warriors to have shyt all figured out in a handful of games?

Let me take you back to 2014/2015 when Bron returned to Cleveland, and he had Kyrie and Love, and they lost seven out of their first 12 games.

Cool no argument. I find it funny though that you said steph looked bad with any entirely new team. Removed Klay, Dray, KD...
I will say with no continuity every player will look bad. However, they were claiming KD but when Steph didn't play KD was a shell of himself as well even with Dray and Klay.

Cool though.

Houston, should allow more movement from Harden, it he gets fouls like he does now, imagine if he got to attack from slashing/backdoor and general off ball basketball shxt, not standing in the corner
Dray was there with Curry. Without any of them Curry was a shell of himself. It’s a team bro. He looked bad without goats shooting. I’ve grown to appreciate Curry but that gravity shyt goes out the window when you dolo. Harden by comparison is playing with interchangeable pieces for the most part. They play defense, shoot threes or they drive and turn it over.

You got my ear on the second paragraph...the rest nah.

:ohhh:Dray was pretty at 3pt shooting, rebounding, defense and play making. Yeah you shytting on Dray.
Rebounding and defense are irrelevant here.

And it's less me shytting on Draymond and the rest of the Warriors, and trying to illustrate to you that Steph was the nucleus behind what his support cast was able to achieve. Draymond is a special player, in his own right, but the offensive success that he and the rest of the support cast had, was because of Steph.

It's about how Steph was able to elevate all the pieces around him.

On a fast break off a steal or defensive rebound when two defenders run to Steph Klay or Kd and leave other open shooters or lay ups don’t count?

A playermaking offensive rebounder is no different than Covington or Tucker grabbing a board pulling the ball out and putting pressure on the defense?

How can defense and rebounding not matter when we are talking about a players greatness being that he plays great off ball great. Also, the spacing of the floor from gravity pulls more defenders out of the paint. You bugging and arguing against your own point it seems.

Aren't you doing the same shxtting on Houston players?

Eric Gordon
Russell Westbrook
Chris Paul

And you can miss me with Harden got to do it that way. His coach sux but he still ain't trying to do nothing when he dont have the ball. No movement, no spot up, no cuts. Just drift around 1/2 court waiting on the ball. I believe that he'd have the same gravity as steph, so could Dame, and a host of other players. They just don't want to play ball unless its hero ball

I do t have a dog in this fight. Addressing flaws isn’t shyt’n on’em. They are there for that reason they are there, I don’t expect tucker to bring the ball up.

name a playmaker on Houston. Paul was hurt when that series was decided.

Other than that, I’ve agreed w/ you that they could do stuff different as a whole. That conclusion is easy when they are losing.

I had the same point of view when they were winning. I like harden at OKC but what he does with Houston is trash stat padding. You can't have playmaker if you just give the ball to harden and move
The same could be said about every teammate lebron has. And the way they treat Bledsoe on the bucks is trash...from ball dominant point guard to give it the Giannis and get out the way.

Some styles of play are trash.

Cool though I like GS, but I don't have a team. I LIKE THE SPORT! so no dog in the fight either....just good BBAll

Gs was refreshing and I liked seeing Kd win.

Unfortunately that’s just how the League is today.

And this is the crux of it. They’re selfish players truth be told...don’t care how much they claim they want to win, their play says otherwise.

As much as Bean and MJ shot the ball, when they had their most team success they were getting a lot of their looks from screening for others, cutting, coming off screens themselves, etc. That’s being a true team player and really elevating your teammates and not just pounding the air out the rock 16 of the 24 and passing it at the last minute. These ball dominant players like Harden and Lillard and Chris Paul and Westbrook at his peak just don’t get it. Like I’ve stated before, they’re in a state of arrested development as hoopers. And their fans are just as clueless for not understanding the root reason why players like Livingston can resurrect his career and become a household name playing next to Steph.
“Bu bu but look at his teammates and the system , you can insert anybody there and they’d win just the same :damn:
No, you idiot, they wouldn’t. Because they aren’t willing to make the sacrifices necessary. When the Warriors comeback next year, peep how often you see Steph in the trenches setting a screen on players 20 pounds heavier to get Klay a look and then peeling back to run off a screen himself. Sacrifice.

Truly a comedy of errors the lack of ability a lot of these nba fans have to assess the gameplay in front of them

Agreed on so many levels. It’s not good for the players coming up either because this will just perpetuate itself longer.

It was Dwight Howard's fault.
Nope, it was Kevin McHale's fault.
Sorry, it was Chris Paul's fault.
Oops no, it was Melo's fault.
Nah, it was Clint Capela's fault.

Seems like somebody else always gets the blame for why Harden and the Rockets underperform.
Westbrook and D'Antoni up next on that summer jam screen.

dantoni peaced out Already bc he was full of shame from his small ball schemes  Westbrook screaming at infants and hair stylists during games, he threw Harden off his rhythm

Just your typical Rockets fans babble

I think he was ready to go the minute they traded Chris Paul. He knew they were done with Westbrick on the team
