Fast and loose with the story and the timeframes this show is supposed to cover. I guess I wouldn't care if the subject wasn't near and dear to my heart.
Also, watching the show through the lens of female characters is too much. It's a purposeful decision to insert a bunch of incredibly attractive, yet brilliant and dominant female leads into the show. It's really bringing the quality down. Of course, all of the male characters fit some stereotype (nerdy, fat engineers or charismatic salesman), while all the female characters are dynamic and vibrant.
It's a male industry, it's about childhood obsessions, labors of love, exploration. All of that is stripped out of the show.
I've been watching "Triumph of the Nerds" and other tech documentaries/dramatizations since I was a teenager. Always wanted that period drama about the PC industry.
