The real reason Halo fans should be worried is because this delay is reactionary. Meaning 343i were confident that what they were putting forward was a good finished product OR they weren't confident but were going to release it anyway.

I also think Multiplayer is a big reason why the game got delayed. They haven't been talking about it much and said they wouldn't have a beta for it which is crucial for a game like halo. A while ago there were rumors that the game would launch WITHOUT Multiplayer and recently one of the Lead Devs shot down this rumor but now looking back at it I think it was an actual option that they were potentially entertaining.

I honestly think the graphics issue was a convenient excuse to delay the game but I think there are a lot of issues going on behind the scenes with other departments of development.

It's entirely possible that 343 was not approaching Halo's development process the way that the fans and Microsoft were expecting them to. The game is supposed to be THE system seller, and the killer app for Microsoft. It's supposed to be the biggest game on the console at launch, and THROUGHOUT the console's life cycle. It's like they didn't understand the scale of the project, people will pick the game apart if it's anything but amazing. I could be wrong tho.

It's also concerning that the game may be heading the same route that Destiny took, considering that it would be following the lead of Bungie, and they didn't even make good on their promise of Destiny having a 10 year life cycle, so I don't see how Halo would be able to pull that off.

What's funny is this isn't too far from the truth. The game was supposed to release without ray tracing and it would've came later as a patch.

Not even Sony made the claim that all those games were coming first year. You only got CGI trailers for most of them and you just randomly assign them a release date cause you said so.
