The real reason Halo fans should be worried is because this delay is reactionary. Meaning 343i were confident that what they were putting forward was a good finished product OR they weren't confident but were going to release it anyway.

I also think Multiplayer is a big reason why the game got delayed. They haven't been talking about it much and said they wouldn't have a beta for it which is crucial for a game like halo. A while ago there were rumors that the game would launch WITHOUT Multiplayer and recently one of the Lead Devs shot down this rumor but now looking back at it I think it was an actual option that they were potentially entertaining.

I honestly think the graphics issue was a convenient excuse to delay the game but I think there are a lot of issues going on behind the scenes with other departments of development.

What's funny is this isn't too far from the truth. The game was supposed to release without ray tracing and it would've came later as a patch.
