That's why one could give some credibility to the reports of Halle's mental state. Early in her career, at least in my eyes, Halle was for black people... As time has passed.... after the tumultuous relationships and the Hollywood atmosphere, those things have taken a toll on her psyche. The Mike Ealy situation and "I tried black men" was the breaking point where she decided that she was no longer black(if only for a moment)and I'll only date white men; A moment that birthed a decision made in anger. No bueno.

There can only be personal assumptions made; no clear cut answer will be given unless Halle or her mother either speaks on it or writes a book stating personal feelings.

It's well reported that Halle got a LOT of support from her mother doing black films and she insisted that she embrace her black herritage. Her mom didn't deny her herritage, unlike how Halle's ex is doing with Nahla.

LOL, why u getting heated? one of my first cousins married a white guy and he loves, respects, and takes good care of their family. Had an uncle that was a postmaster that married a white woman, wasn't close but met him once at a funeral. also have mixed race afro/latino/asian relatives. my world lens on this topic has a personal perspective.
