They don’t have to be good, she’s saying she wasn’t getting looks after Monster’s Ball which is cap. She was still starting and costarring in blockbuster movies for a good decade after MB.
I mean those movies had a lot of publicity for sure, definitely don’t disagree with you there. But the quality of all those movies was lacking.

the biracial dynamic in America ain’t nothing but the “I’m white and I say so” rule and negros went along with it because we’re powerless here. White daddy says you black then you black

Correct..... The same thing happened in other places..... Mulattos were always looked down upon by whites.

The only difference is - the mulattos in North America joined up with the blacks - and the mulattos in other places carved out their individual lane in society amongst themselves and rejected the blacks.

So different cultures emerged from those dynamics.....

& North American blacks are heavily mixed.... they got Native American & European blood all up in the mix so it doesnt even really matter..... theyre a multi-racial tribe.... they got a large color spectrum from light to dark.

Its just a matter of culture bro..... Mulattos in North America dont have the same history of treachery and betrayal like the mulattos in Africa and the islands.

The reason the line is drawn in other black nations is because mulattos have double-crossed and betrayed the African so many times.

Mulattos have literally waged war on Africans in other places....Its not the same in North America.

Different cultures.

Yep, plus whites in America treated "Negroes" more or less the same. You're either white or non-white (back in those days).

The other diaspora nations had A LOT more full-blooded Africans so the whites had to split them up with divide and conquer. In America, the highest percentage we ever had was probably 20-ish %. Whites never had to worry about us because we just didn't have the numbers to overthrow anyone.

#ADOS
I can rock with that.

But if all of Ados is “technically” mixed, then someone like Halle could never be considered black because she has a whole white parent on top of the aforementioned Ados admixture. I’m just going with what the Coli been telling me :yeshrug:
:ld: So did my grandfather. Halle is probably one of the last generations of ados/ white biracials to recognize the old rules. She even thinks her kids are 'black'. :skip:

"[Of her daughter] I feel she's black. I'm black and I'm her mother, and I believe in the one-drop theory," Berry said in an interview with Ebony magazine.

...
"I'm not going to put a label on it. I had to decide for myself and that's what she's going to have to decide -- how she identifies herself in the world," Berry told Ebony. "What I think is that that's something she's going to have to decide."

"And I think, largely, that will be based on how the world identifies her. That's how I identified myself," she said. "But I feel like she's black."

White people aren't going to give him a free run because he's sorta mixed. Lotta black American people fall into that category of being fairly mixed but still very obviously black.

IMMIGRANT TETHERS
yeah true. :yeshrug:

Historically - mulattos have always been wives & mistresses to white men.

So its not really a big deal to me.
yup, historically, most biracials stick with theit own or go white. atleast in the "New World"

even in America today, most biracials date and marry to white, more than they do black

this needs to be drilled in one droppers head
