The Rockets guards struggled almost the entire series against the Knicks. Imagine what the Bulls perimeter D would do. Hakeem would likely drop 40 a game though, no argument there.

'95 is a toss-up because the Bulls didn't have Horace, and Dennis didn't get there yet. The addition of Drexler, and the shooters they had were shooting lights out that entire postseason.

True that but the Chicago guards though werent as physical and didnt defend as well as the Knick guards. John Paxson and BJ Armstrong are a lot different than John Starks and Derek Harper.

Plus a Bulls-Rockets series in 94 would've been fun to see Vernon Maxwell go up against MJ. He ALWAYS was trying to get into a fight with Jordan for whatever reasons lol

Hakeem and David though are the two most athletic, graceful, quickest big men i've ever seen. David Robinson is underrated to me

David was one of the first big men that played very comfortably facing the basket. As you mention, graceful yet had enough power/speed to create facing the basket which was still fairly rare at that time for a guy of his size. Hakeem was just on an other level as it relates to sheer skill set at that size.

I was thinking more along the lines of Jordan & Pippen. Paxson was a benchwarmer in '94.

And beyond that, it would have been coming off the Bulls going to 3 straight NBA finals.

There's a reason why the last team to WIN 4 championships in a row where the Celtics back in the 60's. The shyt is exhausting both mentally and physically. It's presumptive as hell to think the Bulls would have even made it to the finals that year let alone gotten there and won.

Interesting point. Didn't really think about that

Hakeem gets generally underrated because he had bad coaching and terrible supporting casts for most of his career. His teams flat out sucked without him(7-27 from 1992-1996 in games he missed) But any series he was supposed to win.. He won it. That and he's one of the most clutch athletes Ever

For example in Elimination games 1993-1995(9-1)

31/21/7/3/3
23/17/7/3
37/17/5/3
25/10/7/3
40/8/3
33/10/4
31/16/3
30/8/10/5
29/11/4

:whew:

Dream sunk his battleship. David never really recovered. Anytime some one says "Dream Shake" this is the first picture in everyone's head.

whether the bulls would've won both those years depends on whether they would've kept their 3-peat team in tact if jordan hadn't retired. They probably would've in '94 since the only person missing from the squad was MJ himself.

so it would depend on whether Horace Grant would've still left after that season. Why did he leave anyway? Was it simply due to a bigger contract that Chicago couldn't afford and Orlando could? or was there some shady shyt going on similar to pippen's contract situation?

If they don't keep him then i wouldn't even say it'd be a sure thing getting passed Orlando in '95, much less Houston.
