She was normal for me :hubie:.PAP was dope on xmas eve. fam would drive to the beach ,have grilled lambi andgriot at the beach. Was safe as fukkk. had car races in the capital, cats were not in a rush to go to USA. Alot of mis information. out there abt how life was.
I spent summers & xmas in PauP also. But it's nothing compared to the PauP that older generations got to enjoy.

Haiti was one of the top vacation destinations for wealthy Americans back then,
Until the "Tree Islands" and "Come Back to Jamaica" tv ad campaigns came through and crushed the buildings.

Basically when those ads were on, if you were an Islander......uneducated people saw you as having to be from whichever ad they had just seen. Either the USVI or JA. The very first Fugees single "Boof Baff" made a reference to that.

President Joe Biden has nominated a Miami litigator and longtime government lawyer to serve as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida, the office currently involved in the Justice Department's investigation of classified records at former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.

Markenzy Lapointe would replace Juan Antonio “Tony” Gonzalez, who has been a top prosecutor in Southern Florida involved in the investigation of the classified records and the debate over whether a judge should appoint a special master to review the documents taken by FBI in the search.

Markenzy Lapointe has been a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in Miami, Florida since 2017. From 2002 to 2006, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Lapointe served as a law clerk for Florida Supreme Court Justice Harry Lee Anstead from 1999 to 2001. Mr. Lapointe received his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in 1999 and his B.S. from Florida State University in 1993. Mr. Lapointe is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps
