The former director of the National Police of Haiti, Mario Andrésol, made revelations on the former President of the Republic, Michel Joseph Martelly and two senators currently in office. In a long interview with the journalist Arnaud Robert for Ayibopost, the former director of the PNH describes a police vassalized by the political power and sacked by corruption at the highest level.

The Haitian National Police was created in 1995 to replace the Haitian Armed Forces, which provided police functions. Mario Andrésol, a trained soldier, has held several positions within the institution since its creation before going into exile in 2001. He took the head of the PNH on July 22, 2005 under the transitional government of President Alexandre Boniface and the Prime Minister Gérard Latortue. The PNH has just celebrated its ten years of existence, it has the image of a highly corrupt institution, while it has just over 4000 police.

Mario Andrésol led the PNH for 7 years (from July 2005 to August 2012). With an explosive franchise, he claims that his successor, Godson Orelus, "screwed up" all his work to please former President Michel Joseph Martelly and his entourage. He delivers his most troubling memories to Ayibopost.

This is what I’m saying. But you have the bozos in HL who are ”pro-black” but support US dominance call me pro Russian and Chinese for my stance. I’ll be anti US foreign policy till the day I die. America NEVER had Haiti’s best interest at heart. They fukked us from the beginning and to this day. I can’t with a conscience support US imperialism since the policy basically crippled Haiti. Haiti needs a new leadership that can create ties with China and Russia because the world is multipolar. America is not the only game in town and they haven’t done nothing for Haiti.

this was the 2004 article on how U.S trained Haitian armed opposition in the Dominican Republic. Its the same "rebels" from 04 with the leader Guy Philippe who was also trained in U.S base in Ecuador and schooled in Mexico

SANTO DOMINGO.— The Xinhua news agency has reported that the groups which rose up against Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide were armed and trained by the United States in the Dominican Republic, according to a preliminary report presented today.

That statement is the provisional conclusion by the Haiti Investigation Committee made up of religious and legal representatives from several different countries and created in 1991 by former U.S. Justice Secretary Ramsey Clark.

"Two hundred soldiers from the U.S. Special Forces arrived in the Dominican Republic with the authorization of President Hipólito Mejía as part of a
military operation to train Haitian rebels," revealed the report that was circulated in the Dominican capital, Santo Domingo. Father Luis Barrios and lawyer Brian Concannon, both members of the committee, presented the preliminary results of the investigation that contradicts the
Dominican authorities, who described the handing over of weapons to rebel Haitians as "surreal and fanciful."

According to the report, Aristide reiterated to the committee that "he had not resigned (from the presidency of Haiti) and was kidnapped (last March 1) by the U.S. government" so as to remove him from power.

Committee member Teresa Gutiérrez asked how it came about that rebel leaders were able to train and arm themselves in the Dominican Republic if Mejía’s government had assured his Haitian counterpart (Aristide) on several occasions that he would not
allow that kind of activity on his territory.

Speaking at a press conference, Barrios said that the committee possessed many reports confirming that the Haitian conspirators were armed and trained in Dominican military camps situated in the eastern region of San Isidro and the western areas of Haina and Neiba.

"It is clear that Dominican territory was also used by the U.S. government for the purpose of providing support to the Haitian opposition," stated the priest
who, along with other committee members, mentioned various incidents including the deaths of two Dominican soldiers involving armed members of the Haitian coup faction. The committee is due to present its definitive report to U.S. Congress, the Dominican Republic, the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which last does not recognize the new regime in Haiti.

American involvement in the coup in Haiti

The current American outrage is of course Falluja, but we mustn't forget Haiti. Here is a good article on the history of Haiti as background to the coup, the thugs the Americans support, and the thugs in the Bush Administration (Reich and Noriega) who were almost certainly involved. Information is starting to come out about direct American military involvement in training the armed gangs who have taken over the country. A preliminary report issued by the Investigation Commission on Haiti, a group investigating the matter, concluded that "200 soldiers of the US Special Forces arrived in the Dominican Republic, with the authorization of Dominican President Hipolito Mejia, as a part of the military operation to train Haitian rebels." In an interview with Amy Goodman, Dr. Luis Barrios, a professor of criminal justice at John Jay College in New York City and a member of the Commission, said:

"We were running interviews at the Dominican Republic and also field trips trying to get the information on what was going on in the Dominican Republic for the last two years. And preliminary reports from the report that we put together on the commission is that at least for two years, the group of rebels were living in the Dominican Republic. They were training different settings, military settings that belongs to the Dominican government. Also in San Cristobar. Also that they were receiving technical training every month through the so-called International Republican Institute at Santo Domingo hotel every month. That was also the day for payment."

The International Republican Institute (IRI) is the front used by extreme U. S. right-wing interests to stifle democracy around the world. In this case it worked with American Special Forces for a period of two years to train the army led by the murderers and gangsters who the Americans have now put in charge in Haiti. Dr. Barrios continues, talking about the IRI:

"They are behind this training. Not only the technical but also the money, and they were also some of the people who facilitate the so-called 20,000 M-16 rifles that were supposed to go into the Dominican armed forces and in some way most of them went into the houses of the rebels in the Dominican Republic. In addition to that, also, we identified through information for lawyers, journalists and also ex-militaries and militaries from the Dominican Republic that 200 members of the special forces of the United States were there in the area training these so-called rebels, Haitian rebels before going into Haiti."

and, tying together the American pattern of behavior:

"Well, it's the same pattern we have been following for years. It happened with Panama. It happened with Chile. It happened with all of the atrocities they have been running against Cuba and also Venezuela. It happened in my country, Puerto Rico, with all of the situations of being a colony. Going there, saying that we underestimate this kind of investigation. We understand it's not necessary. We have already run the investigation. Please believe in what we're saying is this kind of blind faith that makes people stupid, is they want to assess what Colin Powell is trying to get us to believe. We understand it's a lot of illegal actions here, violations of the Haiti constitution, but also a violation of international laws. He knows that, but he's trying to go there as a puppet and mask all of these crimes on behalf of the U.S.A. government. He knows he's guilty. He knows this government is guilty of overthrowing a democratic government. This is the third one, Afghanistan, Iraq, Haiti and now they're looking at Cuba and Venezuela. This is how they do this."


This is how they do this. Condoleeza Rice, who you'd think would have other things to do these days, has threatened Jamaica with dire consequences if they do not immediately expel President Aristide. Jamaica, to its credit, has ignored her.
